First, I would recomemend a way to shutdown the text shadows in menus. My screen is not that good and it looks too blurry.
The second comment is relative to the vertical spacing between menu items. The default KDE style goups them too close, your style (i feel) groups them too loosely, just like the mdk galaxy style. The light style grups them 'just right' in my opinion.
The third is that the shadow of the bottom and right scroll bar arrows feels strange. The shadow is on the wrong side and it seems like the buttons are pressed. I'd preffer flat arrow buttons, since most of the style is 2D, but I don't know how you plan to evolve the style.
All in all, I like your style very much. I keep it on my 'style of the day' pool of styles. Very nice work. - May 04 2003

Very good ideas. Kicker, as it stands today, is very good (for me), but this sort of thing would be even better.
I'm curious to see what the devs and usability guys have to say about this. I hope KDE takes it :)

I compiled it for kde3 in mandrake 8.2 using the 2.96 gcc. I installed it onto /opt/kde3 and although everithing went apparently allright, the style doesn't showup in kcontrol.
The window decoration appears in kcontrol, but when selected chooses kDE2 default window decoration.
I must be missing something... - Aug 10 2002

Is there any way to adjust the gradient intensity of the menubars? I like the gradients, bu they are a bit too strong for my taste.

I'm using your wallpaper in my root windows mixed with some textured pattern. Looks really nice (for me at least). - May 25 2002

Icon Sub-Sets by kborrey 44 comments
I only have one problem with the find icon, which is too similar to the zoom icons.
My suggestion is to reduce a bit the current icon for find and replace the foot prints for something resembling a document page.
As it is, it looks like a 3rd category for zoom.
Keep up the good work :) - Apr 25 2002
