KDE 3.x Splash Screens by popdez 4 comments

It looks nice up until you notice the uneven flashing of the icons. It makes it seem as though they don't really serve a purpose. With the default splash screen a complete icon flashes and then the next one does. They are split in the middle. If that was corrected then this would be a much better splash screen. - Sep 02 2004

The taskbar is important if you are not using features that kde has that windows doesn't. Such as the shade window. I suppose part of this came from OSX in liking the fact that their is not a taskbar but one thing they did wrong was do away with the shade window feature. As for my self I prefer the windows list in combination with the shade feature and not maximizing windows that don't need it a better way to work. The taskbar seems to get cluttered easily and then becomes somewhat useless. - Jul 29 2004

That is a good idea cause the default one is ok but it could be better.
