I very much like this weather applet, however, the only thing that's keeping me using CWP is it offers a ton of different weather map choices. The only map for the USA is one giant satellite view. I live on the eastern seaboard and prefer to see a Doppler view of the region. On a tiny little cloud view of the entire USA, I can't see how far away rain is without going to a website to see it. With CWP, it shows me/us right there.

I hate to talk "bad" about this weather plasmoid since I like the lay out better. It's compact and show (almost) everything I want to see in just a couple clicks.

PLEASE! Is there a way to add a "Menu Show Delay" to this style? It's totally possible since the Serenity style can do it. QtCurve would be the 100% best (with Serenity a close second) style. The instant show menu thing is impossible to navigate. It's SO much easier with a delay.

For instance, If I'm going through the K menu, and I slip off "Internet" and hit "Graphics" the Graphics menu shows instantly and the Internet menu disappears. The Serenity theme has a configurable amount of time before the Internet menu would disappear allowing me to put my cursor back on it with out activating the Graphics menu.

Partly for that reason I've been using Slashdot's "Broken Window" topic icon for Windows (Cedega/WINE) files.

This is a nice icon, but you start running into the decision of "How much Microsoft licensed stuff do you REALLY want on your machine?".

For me, "As little as possible". Microsoft doesn't make Jedi Academy ( the main reason I use Cedega), so I'm pretty much in the clear.

It's true. The page feeds you a tar.gz file, but:

First, I do like the pic, I downloaded it the first time you put this up (I did forget to vote good, so I'll do it this time).

Second, I don't see anything "updated" about it to warant an "updated" status.

Third, even though I do like this pic, as posted, it doesn't make a very good desktop pic. It's kind of washed out looking and a bit dark. I pulled it into gimp and ran an auto-level on it which helped a LOT. I raised the brightnes a tad, but that makes the darker parts far more black.

If I wasn't color blind, I'd do a lot more with adjusting levels and such to suit the pic better, but if *I* do it... :-)

Just unmask the packages in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask and you can compile and install RC-3 (the final isn't out yet). ONLY do RC3. Here's what I usually do/did:

joe /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask

Search for kde and put a # before all the KDE entries (for RC3)

Then you need to also make sure you unmask the corisponding QT package. In the case of KDE3.1-RC3 it'll want:
