You need to edit install.sh and suinstall.sh to prescribe the right way for style, icons, background etc etc. I do not know the right way for kali linux. - Feb 23 2015

You probably heve not OpenSuse. You can open suinstall.sh and correct ways to
/usr/share/plymouth/themes/
/usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/
