MPlayer can do that too.
It is just that the -dvd-device is not named very explicitly to indicate that it can also select a directory containing a copy of a DVD structure, but the manpage tells you so. - Feb 13 2005

it does not work :-(

It compile correctly, but then I tried to do the example showed on your page (with dilbert).

First problem: I did not do it correctly, then after hitting OK it told me there was a problem, but when I go back to correct it the list is empty (maybe it is related to the next problem).

Second problem: after doing it right, it told me it was not able to write to /usr/share/apps/komics/, of course, only root can! so why doesn't it use ~/.kde/share/apps/komics/? - Nov 25 2003

Then why didn't you just remove that cursor theme?
It is normal that you messed up everything again by copying all your files, because you got the cursor theme again.
Anyway, it is just stupid to reinstall your system just for a cursor theme. - Sep 07 2003

This doesn't work with a midnight commander session. It is renamed to ~ but when I change directory it stay at ~.

I did such a thing for myself bu putting in my ~/.bashrc

if [ -z $MIDNIGHT_COMMANDER ]; then
PROMPT_COMMAND=$PROMPT_COMMAND';dcop $KONSOLE_DCOP_SESSION renameSession $PWD'
export PROMPT_COMMAND
fi

and encountered the mc problem.
So I put up a workaround by putting in ~/.mc/bashrc (a script which is executed when bash is started from mc)

export MIDNIGHT_COMMANDER=1

and in my ~/.bashrc

if [ -z $MIDNIGHT_COMMANDER ]; then
if [ ! -z $KONSOLE_DCOP_SESSION ]; then
PROMPT_COMMAND=$PROMPT_COMMAND';dcop $KONSOLE_DCOP_SESSION renameSession $PWD'
export PROMPT_COMMAND
fi
fi

This way nothing is done when it is an mc.
Quite a dirty hack, but it works. - Jul 11 2003

You announce 0.8.2, but the package I just downloaded is 0.8, where is 0.8.2? - Jun 07 2003

Is it stretched or repeated to fill the whole titlebar? - May 11 2003
I saw in your TODO list (in the archive) that you plan to have the option of having the title bar at the bottom of the window, that would be really cool :-) - May 11 2003

And what do you do of those who use konqueror without KDE?
And I even heard of someone who used kdesktop alone with icewm (or another lightweight wm, not sure). - Mar 13 2003

...are you gonna find KDE related wallpapers?

You can find almost nude girls photos everywhere.
I don't think you'll find anywhere else a collection of KDE related images (though you can find Linux related images on some other places). - Dec 11 2002

I don't think the menu is the good place for this kind of informations, that would rather be some kicker plugin.
Anyway I think your design is really beautifull, I particularly like the way you designed the submenu.
If you (or someone else) would be able to code a theme with menus like that that would be really cool. - Oct 19 2002

Actually, that screenshot looks to me a childish toy OS, this is nice to look at but don't seem very usable (and would probably be very consuming in system ressources, but that is normal for a future windows).
I really prefer the actual KDE look. - Oct 19 2002
