I assumed you must of been using an older version as it came to me today, what you really meant by "fuzzy".

I can also trust you, this theme pack is updated on fortnight basis so that's possible why you don't see it on the latest column much.

Thanks again for commenting and glad your enjoying the theme pack. - Jun 11 2009
Thanks for the feedback, the only reason why the mac icons are still there is.

When i gave away a couple of PC's with Ubuntu and simple theme pre-installed. They were so use to the "Big W on the document icon" for all doc icons on Windows they asked why it was showing a different icon and what happen to their files - I did try explaining.

I have now re-looked at the oxygen icons for ms-word,ms-excel etc... and i will possible be changing the icons to the oxygen icons in future versions.

Thanks Again - Jun 11 2009
Thanks for the continued feedback but the current wifi icons where added in 0.9 version if I remember rightly, so you might of been using a older version of Simple.

Am just glad your using the correct version of the theme which includes all the many changes which happen after 0.9.

Thanks again - Jun 11 2009
Thanks for the comment, - Jun 10 2009

Thanks, am glad your enjoying the theme and thank you again for feedback you gave when I was still doing changes to the icon theme

Thanks Again - May 11 2009
No Problem, again it involves a few steps which I have written step by step below again.

Please note this guide is based on Nautilus - the default file manager for GNOME

How to install the alternative folder icons
-----------------------------------

1.Open up Nautilus/File Manager and load your home folder
2.Right click on any folder you want to change the icon and select "properties"
3.Click the folder icon currently the default blue one (Top Left)
4.New window will appear - select the top folder normally named "user", "ubuntu" etc... (Whatever the login name is)
5.Press Ctrl+H so you can view all the hidden folders and look for a folder called ".icons"
6.Select that folder and chose the folder called "Simple" and then select the folder called "scalable" by now you should see many different folders named apps, actions, devices etc...
7.Chose the folder that is called "places" you will now see many different icons - chose icon you want to use e.g. folder-sound
8.Click open, the new icon should be shown now in the top left instead of the default blue folder icon

Repeat the steps again for all other folders you want to change

Hopefully that has sorted out your problem.

Extra's 0.9-6 will include these instructions till the script is finished

Thanks for the comment,

Currently the way to do it involves a few steps which I have written step by step below.

Hopefully in the future it will be easier for users, as am thinking of creating script for alternative distro icons and folders.

How to install the alternative distro icons and the alternative folder icons
-----------------------------------
1.First extract the tar.bz2 file anyway - desktop or your home folder.
2.Have the folder with the icons open and ready
3.Go to your home folder and press Ctrl+H so you can view all the hidden folders and look for a folder called ".icons"
4.Select that folder and chose the folder called "Simple" and then select the folder called "scalable" by now you should see many different folders named apps, actions, devices etc...
5.Chose the folder that is called "places" you will now see many different icons - keep this folder open in a tab or window and go back to the original folder which included the extra icons
6.Select the folder called "Alternative Versions" and again chose "places" and rename one of the distro icons from "start-here-gnome.png"* to "start-here.png"
7.Paste the new icon called "start-here.png" to the other window or tab and when paste in - a prompt should come up asking if you want replace the icon say yes

Congratulations you are now finished, enjoy your new icon
--------------------

* - Example Used

* May have to log out and log in for the new icon to appear

If you want to use the old folder icons select the folders which contain the folder icons and just copy and paste over the folders in the ".icons" folder and select yes when asked

Hopefully that has been helpful if not please write again or PM for any more help

Thanks for the comment,

The GTK Theme comes from the "Step into Freedom" Theme Pack (Link Below)

Thanks for the comment,

Am glad your enjoying the icon theme,

As you can see quite few icons come from KDE 4 - Oxygen, as I believe they create one of best icon sets which are released under a open source licence

Thanks for the comment,

Feedback and comments are always wanted as I want to make this icon theme, the best it can be.

I have been aiming for weekly or every fortnight releases as I believe smaller updates are better then major updates like 0.5 to 1.0.

But as we move towards 1.0, I will be going through all the icons which don't matched completely and re-create them using the current icon set.

Also about the other issue you bought up (super shiny or less shiny), at the minute am aiming for less shiny as well, as I hope it fits better overall then "super shiny" icons which are currently used in this icon theme.

Thanks again for commenting, feedback is always needed - Apr 24 2009
Thanks for the comment,

I hope you continue to enjoy the icon theme

Thanks for the comment, I did not plan to release a update this week but though it would better to get a update out then nothing.

Before you think am replacing all the unique icons, with generic icons that is only temporary thing.

0.7 will include all the old unique icons but using the current icon set so they fit into the theme better

Thanks again for commenting, feedback is always needed - Mar 28 2009
Sorry to hear, you can't download the file still. Tomorrow or Friday I will send the icon theme to you personally as you gave your e-mail in an earlier comment

Sorry again to hear you can't download the icon theme - Mar 25 2009
Yes that is how it is in 0.5

gnome-settings-theme.png and gimp icons have the same but gnome-setting-theme should use the style icon thanks for the heads up - Mar 24 2009
Try again as I have tested it various times today. Every time it worked - Mar 24 2009
Well the change of the folders was done for the reason as talked about before (Too hard to see on white backgrounds). I personally never had a problem seeing the folders on a white background in Nautilus but that maybe due to my monitor settings in brightness and contrast (Left at Auto).

I did try using the nuoveXT/2 folder icons in older versions which where not released but I found the KDE Crystal Project folder icons more fitting

I will look in to improving and changing the original folders icons so they are easier to see, in the coming future versions

Thanks again for all the feedback and comments
- Mar 22 2009
Thanks for the comment, as you can see this theme pack is ever changing thanks to all the feedback this icon theme pack has got.

0.6 will include more options so the user can chose which icons they use personally e.g. folder icons

I believe this is the best solution as this allows the user to chose but this will increase the file size - Mar 21 2009
Thanks for the comment, I have included the old pidgin icon in 0.5 so people can choice between the old one and the new one

Thanks again for commenting - Mar 21 2009
Thanks for the heads up. Icon will be changed for 0.5

Thanks Again - Mar 19 2009
Thanks again for commenting, I am thinking of replacing all the folder icons to KDE SVN Folder Icon
http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/trunk/kdesupport/oxygen-icons/128x128/places/folder.png?revision=940055

What do you think, if not any ideas for which icon to use?

Currently the icon theme uses the icon from Crystal Project which is found on KDE-Look - Mar 18 2009
Thanks for the comment, your comment summed up why I started this theme.

I am glad your enjoying the theme also tomorrow hopefully, I will upload my modified version of Soft BSM GTK Theme

There will be 0.4 update, I have just been very busy with my computer degree and part time job but hopefully, I will be able to release 0.4 out tomorrow - Mar 17 2009
Thanks for the feedback, will try to fix the restore icon and improve the white regions in future versions

Thanks again for commenting - Mar 06 2009
Thanks for the comment, i will look into reducing the size, possibly starting at 0.4 - Feb 25 2009
No problem, I am glad your enjoying the icon theme pack - Feb 23 2009
Thank you for the comment, I would agree with you on the "mac style icons" but now it is released I can do small changes to the icon theme pack like "mac style icons"

Thanks Again

Also there will be a 0.2 Update Tonight - Feb 17 2009
Thanks for heads up on the icon, I just assumed it was LGPL or GPL as found it in a icon theme on here under LGPL or GPL

It will be replaced for 0.2

Thanks Again - Feb 16 2009
