It's nice, but it's interesting to see how the style trends work. Sometime ago, big and bubbly (keramik) was the way to go, but now the majority of KDE users are going for more simple tastes (including me)... sorry for babbling, hehe. - Jul 05 2004

What you've done with Mosfet's theme is simply amazing, you've made quite a name for yourself. Congrats on 0.4 :) If the work continues to improve this much, I'm sure we'll all be blown away at 1.0! - Jun 29 2004
Dude, you are freakin awsome. Thanks a ton for this theme. I can't wait for your new window dec to come out along with KDE 3.2! The past releases of this have had nasty rendering problems on my machine, but 0.3d is great. Just wanted to say keep up the good work, and thanks again! - Nov 27 2003

I didn't say anything without a K or gear should go... just show me a good artistic wallpaper that isn't there just to stir up a conversation, we need to be improving the look of KDE, not saying "I'm a nazi" or "I'm a conservative" or "I believe in God" or "I don't"... tell me what that has to do remotely with a GUI and I'll shut my mouth. They're conversation pieces and not art, themes, or add-ons. - Jun 24 2004
Call me crazy, but isn't this a KDE site? "but it's a wallpaper, it can be used in kde" you might say, but so can a picture of my ass. Not trying to start a flamewar, but I think political content should be posted somewhere else, as all it really does here is cause unnessary controversey and associate linux users with this group or that group or another group... just my 2 cents.

No offense, but most political wallpapers i run into do not show the slightest bit of artistic talent, and i can't imagine anyone actually using them for an everyday background. I think the authors only mean to stir up arguments in the Linux community. Not putting down your opinion or views, I just think there's another time and place for this content.

Honestly, women in skimpy clothing don't belong here either (even if they are hot)... seems like more and more people are getting off-task. - Jun 24 2004

::looks around:: I don't see Gnome, *Box, *Step, or Enlightenment listed here... that seems stupid to list an alternative to KDE on a KDE SITE! Seriously dude, put it where people care, like freshmeat or sourceforge. IceWM has themes here because (incase you haven't noticed) you can use those in KDE as window decoration. This is the wrong place for an alternative desktop environment. I actually use BlackBox now on my home computer, but you don't see me posting my BlackBox themes here. - Jun 09 2004

To get your external IP, you could write a small perl script like the following:

#!/usr/bin/perl -w
use Socket;
$hostname = "";
print inet_ntoa(inet_aton($hostname));

I actually have a qualified domain name pointing to my network, but if you don't have that you can use the hostname that your ISP gives you assuming that it doesn't change along with your IP address. - Dec 31 2003

I think this is a nice idea, but rather than this being the new replacement for KDM, it should be either an add-on or an alternative login manager. Call me crazy, but I personally like the current login screen. So if this is going to become part of the actual KDM package, users should have the option of using "classic" mode. (like GDM and Ksplash have)

I'm extremely impressed with SuperKaramba and specifically with your Docker! It's so amazing how much Linux has evolved over the past 12 years, from its inital starting as "a hacker's playtoy". Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to the final release of this where all the fancy stuff has been added like the bouncing buttons and smooth zoom, and better handling of certain things. When that happens it may be programmed in C and become an offical package for some distrobutions. Great job!
