I remember You saying it is not possible to perfectly copy the KDE's look because of GTK engines impossibility to display blended windows, but what about this:
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Aurora+%2B+Mac+Aqua+%2B+Leopard+Icon?content=106422
I realize It uses a completely different theme than Yours (not pixbuf) but it theory, blending with that engine should be possible, right? - May 10 2010

I think the icon didn't look like that before (I mean white corners covering the text, which should be transparent)
BTW.: In case you don't know what it is - it's the icon which is displayed when middle-clicking a mouse when "automatic scrolling" is enabled in Firefox's preferences. - Apr 02 2010

One more thing I'd like to ask about - I don't really get the reason why "Fixed Maximum Item Height" layout exists. I mean, even if I decide to alter the maximum item height in the Smooth Task's option, the height doesn't change, because my whole panel's height is set and cannot be changed.
The only thing that changes is the items' width, and I think that's what you wanted the user to change, but couldn't make the width user-specified, because it is dependant on whether the users has items set as squares or rectangles. (I think it might be worth considering to make the square/rectangle option ignored when the "Fixed Maximum Item Height" is set, this way you could make the width user-spacified, not the height)
But what does it really do? Please, post some use-cases. The description is very unclear (at least to me)
The only thing I can come up with is when somebody has ex. a horizontal panel, and always uses maximally ~5 tasks, no more. In that case, the right part of the panel is empty most of the time, and the left part always filled (because there are only a few items most of the time). This way, with this layout one could set that even ~5 tasks fills most of the row, or even full, leading to better space distribution.
Am I right? - Jan 23 2010

Plasma 4 Extensions by panzi 842 comments
Right now the source of the color glow
(place, where the center of the circle with the glow is)
is in the place where the moues pointer resides, and I'd like to see an option where the glow would be dependant on the mouse cursor position only on X axis, and it would be always locked in one place of Y axis (so that one always has impression of the glow shining from below the icon)
This doesn't seem to hard, does it? ;) I hope you consider my idea :) - Nov 25 2009

This plasmoid, on the other hand, is simply STasks from march patched to work with KDE 4.3 and to have the peek ability. That's basically all you need if you aren't really demanding.
You may wish to try them both. Just make sure not to try original STasks, since it does not work with KDE 4.3 ATM. - Nov 13 2009

(PS.: You could try to talk to kde-look administrators to make it easily accessible - maybe make it stickied on top of the "Plasmoids" "Themes/Styles" parts? I'm saying this because it really makes it easier for a beginner to install things. Simply "./install.sh" and you're done) - Oct 26 2009

This does not work, however. I am not interested in any deb or rpm packages, because my distro uses neither. I am also not interested into the portable version, because, to my knowledge, it's a version statically linked to the Qt version it was compiled on, and I want it to my dynamically shared to the qt libraries on my sytsem, not those that ship with the program.
I also tried downloading the source, but I am unable to run the script. It gives me an error:

Notice it works fine when the contact list is displayed (Smooth Tasks grabs blue color)
and that the icon in Krunner is yellow. Maybe Kadu is providing the incorrect icon? (not the one which gets finally displayed, but the one krunner one) - Oct 14 2009

An example: a IM program I use called Kadu has a yellow sun as its icon, but when I'm talking with someone who has set himself as 'away' the sun in the taskbar is grey (to represent the status of the person I'm talking to). And the hover effect is yellow, even though it definitely should be grey, as the taskbar icon is.
2) Please make the tooltip of "As only hover effect" a little more clear about what it does.
Thanks ;) - Oct 14 2009

I'd love to see it as a compatitor to Mac OS X's dock, but for that, it needs better animations. Are you planning to add that? (Like smooth rolling out of the desktop edge when hidden, smooth resizing of icons when mouse cursor moves over them)
And second thing - if I set Daisy to auto-hide, would it be possible to make it pop-up to the desktop edge I move my cursor to with a window maximized, so that Daisy would cover that window? Something I'd love to see. - Sep 22 2009

Amarok 2.x Scripts by kubdat 55 comments
PS.: Jak to dokładnie działa? - Sep 17 2009

So seems like working fine, no? Well,no. It displays a gray envelope as if there were no new messages, and I looked at my account's atom feed using Firefox:
http://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom
And it lists 10 new messages.
PS.: I use 0.7.10 version.
PPS.: When I click on the envelope, a Firefox window with gmail opens, and I can clearly see that there are 10 new emails.
PPPS.: I doubt it's an account-specific issue, but I can send you my gmail account data via PM, if you believe that would be helpful (so you can try yourself) - Sep 09 2009

Oh, and BTW, are you sure your color scheme is the same as the default one? It is much brighter than the one I had listed as "Default". And, of course, my "Default" color theme and your GTK theme don't really like each other...
PS.: With QtCurve, the titlebar is blended perfectly both with your color scheme and mine default one... - Sep 08 2009

I think it's just what you achieved (when I look on the Firefox window in the background)
No idea how you managed that. Maybe it's a difference between the Ozone/Nitrogen bar? I reckon you use Ozone? - Sep 08 2009

QtCurve by MrBumpy4096 196 comments
Ok, so with the Nitrogen bar I use:
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Nitrogen?content=99551
there are settings like "radial blending" and "no blending"
when "radial blending" is set, it is possible to get such a look like in here:
http://kde-look.org/content/preview.php?preview=1&id=99551&file1=99551-1.png&file2=99551-2.png&file3=99551-3.png&name=Nitrogen
so that there is no visible difference between the window top bar and the window content below. Of course, it only works for qt4 apps. GTK apps's window bars look worse (non-blended)
There is an option "no blending", which effects are exactly opposite - GTK apps's bars look nicely blended and qt4 apps' bars look bad.
Fortunately, Nitrogen allows to specify different settings to windows with a user-specified window class. That way I was able to set No Blending to window classes of all GTK apps I use, and I had a nice look in all windows.
But in only worked for QtCurve GTK theme. For your theme, it doesn't work. With No Blending, GTK apps' bars are much darker than the rest of the window - setting all windows (the GTK as well) to Radial Blending makes them look a little better, but there still is a color difference.
Can supply you with comparison screenshots, if you like ;)
