Hy there!

First of all thaank you to working on this port!

But - sorry if I'm noob - it doesn't works for me :S

I recently switched to kde with the hardy release of ubuntu, and now I using intrepid with kde4. Now I compiled your port, it's appeared in the theme list of kwin. I never used deKorator before, so maybe I did something wrong, but I selected it, went to the themes tab in deKorator configuration, installed a theme, selected it in the list and pushed the apply button... And my window decorations disappeared... :( I tryed it with three themes so I don't think if the theme is the bad thing... Maybe I am... :S

So please help me! :) - Nov 09 2008

First, sorry because the late reply!

But, what black thing do you talking about? - Jul 02 2008

You don't like it?

Anyway, you can select the active usplash theme with this command:
sudo update-alternatives --config
and then:
sudo update-initramfs -uk `uname -r` - Apr 22 2008

You made a very impressive theme collection! But I miss one thing, an usplash theme. So now I starting to work on an usplash theme based on the same wallpaper. And with it, and maybe a simple grub background image, your collection will be very complete :) - Mar 09 2008

hy! now the new stretched theme is uploaded :) take a look on it ;) - Mar 08 2008
I decided to make a sepparate theme for 640x480 because it's much more easyer to do that, than hacking the old one... so I'm working on it :) - Mar 06 2008

I didn't made a 640*480 version of the theme because the graphics too big, and need to be stretched to fit that resolution, and the main problem with it, how the other resolutions, all using the same graphics... But if there are needs to I make it, I'm start working on it now, but you have to wait one or two days to I finish it. - Feb 29 2008
Thanks guys! :) - Feb 13 2008

This can indicate two problems, the theme doesn't supports the resolution you selected in usplash.conf or usplash's built in framebuffer controller cant go to that resolution, try to play with /etc/uspalsh.conf... try some regular resolutions like 800x600 or 1024x768 - Feb 11 2008
Hy guys!

Maybe the 952 mode is specific to my device (via vn896) and you have to search google for a mode for yours...

The simptom: compleatly lost the terminal, is appeared to me when used any vga= parameter withot my modifications in gutsy.

I did exactly the same with my gutsy, and then i got the vga= parameter back! I tested it many times even in VirtualBox, and two other gutsy computers, and it works.

Maybe you lost something, if you correctly rolled back the changes and you still havent got a console, maybe you not removed the vga= parameter.

If you still havent got your terminal back you can send me the modified files, and your /var/log/messages file, and I try to find out what's wrong...

Finally sorry because this troube, but how I sad, I tested it many times before I published it :S
- Feb 10 2008

Please read the README file included in the package and follow the instructions in it!

But pngtousplash located in the libusplash-dev package on feisty and gutsy, or usplash-dev on edgy... - Feb 10 2008

I seen this problem before with an other theme, and I think that happens when you don't use a framebuffer driver. So please follow this: if you use gutsy to have a working vga=xxx parameter. If you don't you only have to setup the vga parameter as describen in the README file in the package. For 1280x800 i use vga=952. - Feb 10 2008
Hy again!

Today I found a way to compile the theme with only the images you selected to use. This needs a lot more compile time, but I think wait 3 minutes (With a 3990 bogomips cpu) to have an (only) 2mb theme needs to placed in the initrd is a fair deal...

So the hard work is done, now I gona add 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1600x1200 and 1680x1050 resolutions to the existing 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x800.

I'l post an update as soon I can! - Feb 09 2008

I make it tomorrow! But unfortunately it's radically increeses the size of the compiled so, even you use any resolution :S I try to find a workaround bot still not found.

Any oter resolution requests?

P.S. You have to test the hi-res version because I haven't got a display with that resolution... - Feb 08 2008

For now absolutley not.

But if it ever happens, probably it can only work with metacity or anything wrote to do things like that. Because for this, it's need to integrate gtk with the window manager. And it's theme too. - Dec 05 2007

Thanks man!

Really nice theme :) - Dec 03 2007

I really like this theme, and always looking it, on every new version, but the one reason why i can't use it, does not change! I can't see what menu items disabled, and it's makes my mad :S Why the disabled menus not grayed?

Expect of this, it's a really good job! - Nov 26 2007
