I noticed that you've got an Arch package but I cannot find it in the AUR!? Any plans of putting it in there?

it worked fine for a while but as I switched my box on today I once again started with the default set.
That brings to mind: is there any way to manipulate the default?
Cheers and keep up the good work :) - Nov 15 2010

Not to worry, I don't mind waiting a bit.

I then copied the backed up file from the previous day over but no joy - it merely remembered to centre and auto hide it but all apps are gone.
Hm, any ideas as to where I might look?

I'm on Arch 64 with state of the art vanilla KDE. Everything works fine, but on reboot my launchers in the panel are reset :(
I'm planning on a cheap workaround but would need to know where these settings are stored - could you advise? - Sep 12 2010

it parses for an age but nothing shows up.
Shouldn't have anything to do with one's location, should it?
It used to work for me on amarok, but alas, no more... - May 20 2010

Interesting, I've got three different instances of fancy panel configuration in that file - there may be more, it is one hell of a long file...
Might just delete the lot and take it from there. - Feb 21 2010

this is driving me crazy...
I put a nice list of apps together for my fancy panel like in OSX and it invariably resets itself to the default of konquerer, systemsettings and dolphin.
Which file stores that info so I can just restore it?
Many thanks in advance! - Feb 21 2010

great app! What would make it complete (at least for me) would be a roll back feature as provided by backintime or Apple's time machine :)

I use Debian and have been waiting for EXACTLY this kind of programme. However, since the last entry is from 2006 I wonder whether it has died? :( - Feb 22 2008
This does not happen on any other computer I have worked with but don't know where the fault could lie?
Any ideas out there? - Jan 21 2008

I get an error when trying to call up the programme. However, my path appears to be correct and when I am in
# /usr/local/bin
I link
# ln -s /usr/bin/kgtk-wrapper gimp
Then, as user, I change to
$ /usr/local/bin
and call up gimp I get
$ /bin/bash: /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by /usr/lib/kgtk/libkgtk2.so)
Am I missing something incredibly obvious? I googled but no joy :( - Nov 12 2007

first of all I think this is an excellent idea!
I installed it on Debian Etch without a hitch but unfortunately it didn't make any difference!
Is there anything else one has to tweak?

could you please send me the source to rum_topf (at) yahoo.co.uk. I can then put it onto my site and provide you with a link - if that is helpful...

I'm running on Kubuntu 6.10, installed encfs and then Kencfs. Installation appeared to be OK, but on starting Kencfs I get the error message that "The fusermount utility is missing. Please install it before!"
I checked adept but cannot find anything remotely like it (installed all items with "fuse") and am not sure what to do next.
Any help out there? - Mar 10 2007
I installed 2.1 successfully!
Unfortunately, the font is so small as to be barely readable and I cannot see any way to change it. Is this a qt problem?
Also, are there any keyboard commands to call up the programme from the systray or is it a "mouse only" job?
Once I've got it working properly I'd be willing to do a little screencast on how to configure and use it properly (in case you are interested).

As for qt - this is not at all obvious to me. Adept shows bits and pieces of qt4 and lots of qt3. I suppose the answer would therefore have to be "no".
But 1.5 will do for the time being. Thanks again. - Dec 13 2006

Do you know what is going on? - Dec 13 2006
until recently I was on Suse and an avid fan of qleo. Recently, however, I changed to Kubuntu and cannot for the life of me get it to install. Unfortunately the link for the ubuntu packages is not valid...
ingo@dicker:/downloads/qleo-0.2/src$ /usr/local/Trolltech/Qt-4.2.1/bin/qmake
bash: /usr/local/Trolltech/Qt-4.2.1/bin/qmake: No such file or directory
qt-4.2 does not seem to be in any repos.
Any help greatly appreciated...

great app, easy to install thanks to the ubuntu packages.
When I start a session, though, I get a terminal whereas I'd much rather record my desktop. Am I missing something stupid? Any help greatly appreciated. Will write a howto in return :)
