Shouldn't be too hard to do in a shell script, randomly linking contenss of a directory to .kde/share/apps/ksplash/pics and adding to x initialization script, but for distros that don't have user specific splashes, it'd probably have to be done as a cron job and change every hour or so. not sure why, but i pulled the index.desktop out of iKons 0.58 devel, edited to replace iKons with kong, and dropped it in the kong tar.gz file and reinstalled, and the action buttons show up now. - Feb 12 2002
