Hi,

so I'm running your theme on gnome3 and it looks fine. However, something I noticed is that whenever I use my mouse to select multiple items (by clicking the desktop and not letting go of the mouse button to select other items) I get a white box. Usually, in other themes, the box of the selection is usually transparent. I'm using ubuntu 11.10, and I don't know if anyone else has experienced this. - Oct 27 2011

Hi sir, I did put it in that folder, sorry for the incorrect typing. It went to ~/.config/awn/applets. And the folder DockBar, it contains these 2 files: the shortcut file for dockbar.py and a DockBar.py. Am I missing something here?

After I put the files, I restarted awn, but I see no Applet for DockBar. When I type "dockbar.py run-in-window" in the terminal, it works fine... Could this be because I am using the awn-manager-bzr on my machine? Thanks for you help. - Apr 22 2009
Hi, for some reason I cannot get it to work on Avant Window Manager. I already went into the ~.config/awn folder, and dragged the DockBar folder into it, and then I restared AWN, but I don't see any new applet there. Or maybe I misunderstood the directions? Hi, another problem that I have seen with this theme, is the Panel. The "Main Menu" on the panel, and the panel itself shows different colors. It looks uneven, what can be done to fix this? - Apr 23 2009

This theme is great and all; however, Firefox doesn't seem to take it very well. The scrollbars appear with a blue line on each end. The Openoffice and System browsers scrollbars appear in good conditions. Do you know what may be causing this problem? The problem is with Firefox only. Thanks. - Apr 09 2009

Well the creator of the theme did mention that he has a wife who is using a Linux machine. And guys, believe me, some people are kinda BrainWashed by the whole windows look, so a Linux transition might be kinda hard for them to handle. My wife had (has) the same problem. When I first installed Linux, she asked Questions such as, "Where is the close button? Minimize, etc..." Seems stupid, but it's true for many folks. So I said F*** it, I'll just find a Windows theme and put it on her machine, and that actually worked fine. So these themes do have their useful purpose.:-) - Apr 20 2009

Now that's something I've been wanting for quite sometime, because sometimes it does get annoying having too many windows opened on a taskbar. I have it running on my Hardy Heron, and things seem well so far. If Avant Window Manger had that function too, it would be a bliss.:-) Hope there's already somebody working on that too. - Apr 17 2009

By so far, this would be one of the most smoothest metal themes I've seen for Linux. I have seen many of them but they never look smooth. Something I've never liked from the metal themes is that the png images are very obvious in the layout of the window, by that I mean that one can see the little squared pngs making up the window. I would imagine that making such a theme is very difficult, which is why I believe that voting down on your work would be a very unthoughtful thing to do. Keep up the good work man. - Apr 17 2009

Hi, first of all very nice theme. The only problem with this is the scrollbars in firefox. For some reason they show a blue line at each of the ends of the bars. This issue is only on firefox, not OpenOffice or any other of the system browsers. It would be nice if I don't have to install some Firefox theme in order to fix this. - Apr 14 2009
