i use 4 program to do this image

1- 3d studio or in linux blender to create a simple 3d object for text or the ubuntu logo
2 - if i want a realistic water simulation use realflow if i want a simple water i use MODO
3 - post processing the rendering image with photoshop - Feb 18 2010
