I loved this theme when I was a KDE user... I've switched to Gnome 2.5 Beta, however. Is there a possibility you may port this to a Gnome icon theme? (I'd certainly do it, but I hate working alone...) - Dec 05 2003

Oh yeah... Ummm... How do I manually (as in not using easy wizards and stuff) install this?

I don't have KDE or Gnome, just Qt. - Oct 26 2003
This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm not a KDE user (Or a Gnome user for that matter, either), but I use one Qt app (Apollon) that looks horrible with the rest of my GTK+2 apps using Industrial.

I use DesktopX when I'm running WIndows, and I think it would be veryt cool if you had a type of frontend to edit the themes. For instance, you could edit them by hand with Python scripting, but you could also just right-click on them, for instance, and set their position and what theyu execute, etc. That would be a very nice addition, and is the one thing that keeps this from being as good as Samurize or DesktopX.

Also... Possible you could add an ebuild of this to Gentoo.org? - Aug 03 2003
Yes, we all could really use a system tray or taskbar. It's the only reason I'm still using Kicker *kicks kicker*.

BTW, sounds good. I'm trying to isntall it right now... it doesn't seem to work for those with Slackware 9.0... but I'll try what one of the other dudes said. - Apr 20 2003

Well, the icon theme is this:

http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=5057

The window decoration is Bebop for IceWM.

And yes, I would appeciate an update of your slicker style. I also find that it updates itself way too slowly. For instance, if I open a new window, it takes 3 seconds or so fro it to start to appear there. Still, a very good fist version. - May 09 2003

I figred out that I was using something like Karamba 0.12... so that sucked. But now, I have decided it is one of my favorite programs of all time. One of the things I was missing from Windows was a nice little program called DesktopX (That I had to d/l off KaZaA), and now I get a better version, for a better OS, for free!

Thanks, dude. You've made my desktop. - Apr 12 2003
OK, I've messed up somewhere here, along the line. I think I might have installed it incorrectly (I'm a n00b... only figured out Konsole existed 2 days ago...). Here's what I did.

cd /home/max/KDE-Customization/karamba-0.15/
./configure --prefix=/home/max/Karamba
make
make install
make clean

And I exitted. Now, when I go to the bin directory, and open that executable, whenever I choose a .theme file, it doesn't do anything. The executable just exits, nothing happens. It's weird. Actually, I'm thinking now... I thought the newest Karamba was 0.16, not 0.15? Maybe I'm using a theme for a higher version?

BTW, I'm using Slackware 9.0 on an Athlon Thunderbird 1.0 GHz, 512 SDRAM (I know, I know), Radeon 8500LE box. I don't know what my mobo is, it's from some unheard of company. Jetway or something. - Apr 10 2003

BTW, I have a little insy winsy request. Is it possible you could port this WindowBlinds theme to Karamba? Now, I know Karamba doesn't do window decorations. I was just wondering if you could port the taskbar, if possible. Here's the link:

But anyway, it's called ObjectDock. Go to WInCustomize.com... it is really a lot more advanced than Karamba in it's current state. But still... Well, we're catching up! - May 07 2003
