No blur! Now it's really nice, just simple and stylish. That's what I consider elegant, unlike something flashy and full of effects like most people seem to do. E.g. Bespin. Blurring the edges would just make it kinda unprofessional and break the style. - Jul 21 2010

I don't like the black borders, they make the mockup look a bit unprofessional. Try something more subtle, make them 50% transparent or dump them completely on some areas and use just shadows instead. I would also like lighter gradients. Because of those things, the mockup looks a little too heavy for my taste. Otherwise it looks nice, colorscheme is consistent and not too overloaded. - Apr 30 2008

Systemtray icon for konqueror?

I think systray shouldn't be used for that, but instead there should be a panel applet. I have tried (and succeeded) to keep systray as clean as possible, since then it's much easier to use. As another option systray behaviour could be configurable, but that would just make konqueror's configuration dialog even more cluttered. - May 08 2006

I would maybe suggest changing the name from Uncategorized, to non-kde or something like that to differentiate that these are icons not from the KDE packages.

I also think it should be called something else, but that's because "All categories" doesn't really include "Uncategorized" (IMHO at least). Or "All categories" could be called "All icons" when it would include also icons in "Uncategorized".

Otherwise this looks really nice, and most important, simplier than present dialog. - Feb 21 2006

I don't think there should be anything else than apps in the menu, as it only makes the menu more cluttered. This does look nice, but that grouping could be used for different apps. - Nov 17 2005

This is a great app, thanks! Though there's one thing I'm missing: some fractal programs has an anti-aliasing feature, which not only makes the fractals look nicer but also makes them more distinct. In example Gnofract 4D does this, and those small shapes looks much clearer. Could such a feature be added to Fraqtive also? - Nov 16 2005

I think you should add some information about uninstalling the theme, I had to find the README file to uninstall it. How about metatheme-install --help? I also think that the biggest problem at the moment is the speed, or actually the lack of it. At least on my computer it takes _seconds_ to draw the most complex windows. - Oct 02 2005

The widget style is quite neat, but after all, I would remove the Plastik- and Lipstik-like styles. One can have them, obviously, by using Plastik or Lipstik. I'm not a big fan of these whatever-you-want megastyles. Dump others, keep glass! - Aug 25 2005

I _do_ get it. I knew the idea was to show Gnome's vector capabilities, but I was joking. Like funny things, you know. And I still think that dark grey doesn't match with those bright colors, but that's a matter of taste. I've heard that some people even like how Windows Vista looks like in those beta screenshots. - Aug 15 2005
Wow, that looked like Windows. And before you people start a flame war: I meant that normally it's been Microsoft's job to mix different colors without a taste. - Aug 15 2005
