on http://ubuntu.linux-server.org/qinx-1.4/ you'll find source packages and binary packages for (K)Ubuntu Hoary 5.04 of Qinx.
I'm not using the mentioned debian packages sources here. Did a complete repackage of this.
I included also a kthememanager xml file and a preview png for it.
Right now, I'm waiting for review, that I can include this packages to the new Ubuntu release.
Finally you will find for gentoo actual ebuilds on
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88457
Have fun,

I'm working on a gentoo ebuild for your package.
I changed some things in your source package, because it's not standard.
I packaged a complete tarball with your work named "assk-1.0.tar.bz2"
And inside you will find your kwin decoration egines named e.g. "nvidia-1.0" etc.
If you're interessed in some help, you can contact me.

the problem with themes is, that they're not content of the main application.
I'm building now ebuilds for the themes of karamba, so it can emerged separatly.

first thank you for your proposals.
As I said in my kde-look.org "cry for help", neither I'm an artist, nor I'm a good UI designer.
I'm designing the dialogs and UI in common, as I use them.
The Problem with all open-source projects, which are not maintained through the "global community" is,
that some hundred people are using them, but only 2 or 3 are reporting those issues.
So, can you do me a favour, please provide some "this is what I think the user need" screenshots,
or register at sf.net and help me working on the project.
I'm alone with this project, so I can need help in coding, styling etc.
After all, this is not only for you, but for all the others, who want to have nice applications for kde, gnome or other GUI enviroments.
thx,

that is the wrong way to emerge ebuilds for yourself.
please read the portage documentation:
if you build your own ebuilds, you have to put it in a separated directory.
Now you have to set PORTDIR_OVERLAY=.
Your own ebuilds have nothing to do in the official portage tree under /usr/portage.
Please, before u post those things, read your distribution's documentation.
What you did, is really dangerous.

i'd add some ebuilds for karamba in the unofficial ebuild tree of gentoo.de.
If you need this piece of software and you want to include in nicely into gentoo,
go straight ahead to http://www.gentoo.de/ and check the ebuilds (http://www.gentoo.de/inhalte/download/ebuilds_de/).
