[Idea] amarok with tabs

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by yll 9 comments

amarok already have all the necessary tabs... do not try to complicate what is, in fact, quite simple. amarok is the most powerfull and user friendly music player available this days. btw, u'r mockup screenshot is absolutely unuseful... - Jul 12 2006

well, i've posted this on sourceforge some time ago but i got no answer. i can't suspend my comp, neither manual nor automatically. i can't suspend to ram, to disk and i can't standby. any ideas why this is happening? when i try to do any of this, my ipw2200 module is unloaded but nothing else happens...
i'm running gentoo-2.6.15-r1 and i have all dependencies installed and daemons running fine. oh i have ACPI compiled in kernel but no APM. is this necessary?

everything else seems to be running fine.

need a little help here - Feb 06 2006
Kontact improvements & integration ideas

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by skadge 22 comments

somethings make perfect sense, like kopete integration, others don't. why would u want to have amarok integration on kontact? i think that each monkey belongs to his branch. that wouldn't be useful nor wise.
digikam imports seems reasonable too. - Feb 02 2006

katapult

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by UbuntuMez 116 comments

oh, i forgot! i think the most natural way to select the next thing would be the tradicional tab (shift-tab for backward's operation). hum... another thing, how do u expect to handle multiple operations for the same match? (meaning: when a match has more than one option to execute).

when are u planning the next release? from version 2.0 to 3.1 was more than a year :D

thanks in advance - Jan 27 2006
katapult

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by UbuntuMez 116 comments

well, the most natural to me would be:
1- first the most called apps would be listed first,
2- the most called folders/locations would be listed next.

-don't know te best way to keep a register/counter for the apps, but a simple database/hashmap would do the trick.

-another usefull thing would be extend the options for stuff like amarok plugin. i would like (example) to call the name of an album and append it all to the playlist. currently it's only possible to add tracks

- another interesting plugin would be a kat plugin. having access to indexed files by kat would improve tremendously the usability of katapult (an indexation deamon by kat developers would help).

i think this is the most important things (at least that i can forsee).

oh, and don't thank me. let us all thank u instead! cheers! - Jan 27 2006

i've been wayting for something like this for a long time.
i think that what urges the most in this app is an extensor, meaning... when u have more than one match for a certain expression, the rest of the results should appear on a dropdown list... like in quicksilver. other than this its beautiful... and super useful. i think i finnaly found a replacement for alt+f2...
this one alongside with yakuake have been the two greatest additions to kde usability i've seen in the past months - Jan 25 2006
