I dont know if panels have more attention timing wise than other plamoids ?

Thanks for the confirmation - you never know with these beta versions of kde ;) - Sep 30 2011
Interesting - it works timing-wise if I embed it in the plasma panel (?)

But thats fine, because I want to use it there anyways :) - Sep 29 2011
Actually I noticed it does that, but only if you time it correct (half a second). Is that because of my theme perhaps ?

I noticed the normal taskbar does not suffer from this issue, so maybe some timing is at play here ? - Sep 29 2011
Hi Craig - excellent plasmoid !

Is there a way to enable minimize/restore of window when left clicking on the dock ? If there's more than one instance it should just display all tooltip previews (like it does now).

This is my default theme now, complemented by blue air. Keep it up.

Btw: the scripts should probably state /bin/bash instead of /bin/sh, because dash is the default /bin/sh on ubuntu, and make the install fail. Easy fix though :) - Sep 13 2010

There's no difference to see between those two settings, but now the slowness seems to have disappeared.

Maybe it was just a local problem. - Feb 09 2010
I find this style notably slower compared to QtCurve and Oxygen, is this just my hardware and/or maybe the nvidia (195.x) driver ?

(i know its not final software, obviously, just wanted to hightlight any potential issues).

Anyways good work, it looks great :)

I seem to have a little bug when dragging icons to change the order.

If you just drag them a few pixels they stick around, instead of jumping back again. It works fine however if you keep dragging until it reaches 1/3 of the icon beside it, which then makes then exchange places.. its just a minor thing really.

Is there any reason why I dont have previews for my running applications when hovering over the application icon ? All I get is the same icon twice.

Or does the previews require desktop effects to be turned on ?

On qtcurve 55.2/kde4 using the windeco, and double-clicking the menu button only works sometimes. When it works, you need to click VERY fast. Timing issue?

You should consider making a replacement for the old kbiff application... with customizeable notifications and so on.

Some of the notifications could include more details of the messages waiting to be read (like your current screenshot shows).

Happy hacking :)

Hi,

You have to (re)build a KDE with these patches applied to it.

Depending on your distro, you might have some convenience scripts to help you (think rpmbuild, debuild etc.), otherwise you can probably build a vanilla KDE using the instructions here: http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/Stable_Version

Hope the above helps, although its a little more than ./configure; make ; sudo make install ;)

- May 24 2007
Thanks :)

(most hate to see konqy missing from the logout, but I think its more usable this way.)

Tried deleting the configurationfile aswell, but no change.

Could you please look into this ?

Hi mart,

Could you possibly make an option to move the close button more to the upper right corner, so that when windows are maximized, you can close them by moving the mousepointer all the way to the last pixel of the upper right corner and still hit the button ?

Now there's like 1-2pixels, and you have to move back to click the close button. - Aug 17 2006

I would like the following options in some new version (if you like them :)

1) add an option for making the "All Programs", section a separate menu (much like xp).

2) Ability to change the "Menu"-text to something user-selected

3) Ability to rearrange via options the "username" - "switch user" - "lock session" - "log out", so that you can have the logout button first, and so on.

4) Status indication when doing a search (spinning wheel, or something similar). For now it just locks up, until search is done.

5) I can host your files if you like another mirror ?

Great to see the "doubleclick close" integrated into Powder !!! :)

I've seen another feature in a windeco that allowed you to move the mouse to the farest top-right and then be able to close the window (actually hitting the regular close icon, as this was moved more top-right than currently).

I've seen this implemented in a livecd with kde 3.5beta2 announced on dot.kde.org. It might have been "Klax", but i'm not sure. - Oct 31 2005

Could you make the tabs handle like in the
native Konsole application ?

* doubleclick renames tab
* ctrl+shift+n creates new
* alt+1/2/3... for switching betweeen consoles (could be configurable)

That way you dont have to use the mouse for operating multiple consoles :)
