Did you have some fun with it? I can imagine. Otherwise I concur with pinotree. You're duplicating functionality of kdialog... - Aug 19 2009

I think this would be a good improvement. I'd like a bit better visual hint for the tablike widget on the left and if possible, a fourth tab where the user can make his own selection. - Dec 23 2005

Could you add keyboard shortcuts that let you change the name of a tab. Or even better, lets you change the tab name in place.

Otherwise, megacool app. See http://braincore.blogspot.com/2005/10/kde-yakuake.html - Oct 16 2005

Can you make this into a konsole part that runs inside a konsole? Meaning, add it as a session type to konsole itself? That would be really kewl... - Mar 31 2005

If you experience build errors when you are using KDE3.4, you need to compile arts against the glib library on your system.

Retreive arts source corresponding to your KDE version, recompile and install.

Then compile basket. - Mar 23 2005
If you have a SuSE system and/or updated Gnome on it, retrieve the arts source that came with your KDE update and rebuild that first.

Then build basket. - Mar 23 2005

Some keyboards don't have them, and some people aren't looking at them. I find it handy that it can play a sound when I accidentily use the CAPS key when I should not. - Mar 12 2005

Hmmm. I don't find it particularly readable. I don't think the extra eye-candy makes it better, so... I'd say no in this case.

Let me be clear: I think first and foremost we need to keep KDE useable. A nice look? OK. Looks are important. But useability is more important.

I wonder what happens if you apply the idea to the regular popup and pare it down to a very subtle modification... - Mar 04 2005
