that is where the proprietary code is downloaded to. If the icons ARE in there, we're out of luck. As I wrote above the icons SHOULD be in the source. - Nov 05 2009

Okay.. here is what I just did on a blank computer:

replace icons in source. block all dropbox servers in /etc/hosts. compile and install source. logout/login.

What I get is the regular icon and now I'm sure it HAS to be somewhere in the source because at no time the proprietary could was (or could be) loaded. - Nov 04 2009

Actually I just had a look at the source. It just has the regular hicolor icon folder in it, but the small version of the icons are compiled into the binaries to make it easier for them to change the status icon. So if you replace the hicolor folder in the source and compile it, you get what you want ;)

Actually it should be possible. The client is partially opensource (and GPL'd). When you run it for the first time the proprietary code gets downloaded. I'm pretty sure it only gets used for the synchronization. The tray-icon shows before the proprietary code gets downloaded.

So the icons seem to be compiled into the source. So there's there's two ways to go about this. Replace the icons in the source or contact the devs and tell them to place the icons in the appropriate directories.

I can do the latter. But I heard that there's a new (seperate) place for tray icons now (since the latest Gnome release) and I have no idea where. - Nov 03 2009

I really love this theme. Is it normal, that it looks real bad in some GTK progs like Synaptic for instance?

Can you make a mixture of SlicknesS and Clearlooks? I mean something using the buttons and such of clearlooks and the rest from your theme. That would be great! - Mar 06 2008
