Reminds me very much of how I remember my home town from when I was a kid, sometime before 1991. I live in northern New Jersey (USA).
Alas the town is now a suburbia of 1/2 million dollar colonial's; But there is still many places nearby that one could take a picture like that!
Great Images, keep up the good work! :-)

Just a quick question: If you compare the hand-icon in say the blue-classic and blue crystal themes, in the colorized version the light and dark areas are reversed. Perhaps it would look more natural if the shadows weren't flipped?
Just a thought....
Excellent work, keep it up!

Just plugged in the .7.1 upgrade, I don't know about 10^23, but it does seem a little snappier. Looks like you weeded out alot of the small annoying bugs with this release! Keep up the good work!

It took me about 10 min. in gimp to rescale the firfox logo and clean up the edges for my own personal use. End result - I get an acceptable image for my desktop, w/out infringing on anyone rights.
To the best of my knowlege this is completely legal.
Here are the steps I took:
1) copy the included mozicon50.xcf
2) rescale to 128x128
3) create a new transparent layer behind the firefox icon.
4a) take a paint-brush, black, radius 60, hardness 90:
4b) put a circle who's outer ege just peaks out below the coarse bottom edge of the icon. (u may have to click the button a few times to get the right hardness).
5a) use the color picker to get the navy blue off the top of the icon
5b) use paint-brush, navy blue, radius 58(or 60ish), hardness 90
5c) same as before to even out the Top edge of the logo.
6) zoom in to about 400% and play with a small smuge tool around the foxes ear, and the end of his tail.
7) save as .xcf...
I'm not much of a gfx artist and this came out nice. I'm sure most ppl could do it better, quicker! Hope this helps.

Is this just the demo-movie or is this a 'working' piece of software in your screenshot?
Can we have a link please? - Jul 11 2004

As another poster pointed out the Firefox logo is really cool, but the quality of the icon is third rate. I don't see the harm in a user creating and sharing a superior icon for us to associate with your product on our desktops. Isn't that kind of like free advertising?
Clearly the person who reposted these has a bad attitude, and I suspect he doesn't know how to build a zip archive either (because I couldn't open it). Wouldn't it be possible however, for Mozilla to allow the original artist to share these? They are clearly marked 'For Firefox/Thunderbird' and he isn't taking credit for the original designs.
I don't understand the issue here, but would really like these icons to (preferably legally) grace my desktop.
Sincerely,
A concerned and confused user,

Rather than hunt for it, i tried your MDK10.0 RPM and it worked great!
Awesom effect, maybe a little resource intensive but oh-well. I guess I can't have everything. :-P
Good work! - Jul 04 2004

Karamba & Superkaramba by optikSmoke 282 comments
i installed an rpm pyKDE-3.7-MDK.i586.rpm or something to that effect.
I started having the problem of ONLY date and time showing after i did that install! And even more confusing, it isn't an issue if i run superkaramba as root.
I still only have the option of 'helloworld', 'noatune' and 'taskbar' pannels though - Jul 03 2004

This is probably one you could redo in 6 or 8 different colors and they'd all be distinctive.
It has a clean fresh feel to it. I probably passed over it in firefox because I didn't like the main icon set. I might have to go back for it tho. - Jul 03 2004
