Do you think it would be possible to port the lighter version of this theme? My attempts weren't close enough. - Feb 02 2009

That can happen if you're using compiz. You have to change the icon theme in the ccsm preferences to nothing. Also, you can try my trick on the first page of comments. - May 27 2008
Which one would help. Full or half size? - May 18 2008
I don't want to sound mean, but it happens when it happens. I just got a new laptop ( :) ) which is quite a struggle as I use arch and it's resolution (1366x768) fights me. To be able to PORT the cursors as they are NOT mine, I need to install xcursorgen which takes out xorg-utils which breaks other things. To cap it off, the cursorxp doesn't port correctly with this cursor because of it's design for windows so I have to put/take out a few things in a few files. Then throw in that I'm wrapping up the final few things to get into college and this is on the bottom of my list.

Sorry if that sounds mean, but it gets done when it gets done. - Apr 06 2008
First, you didn't unzip them, you untared them. ;)

To install it is far easier to open gnome appearance preferences, going to the theme tab, clicking install, and browse to the cursor. - Apr 04 2008
It is just one size as it is a cursorxp port. This is actually 50% size. I'll get the full up soon. - Mar 23 2008
Sorry about that. I re-uploaded it with the revision. - Mar 11 2008
Just to make sure, in ~/.icons you have a directory called Ecliz and the two folders (sources and cursors) are in that along with the index.theme? If so, restart X (though I doubt that will help) and check. If it is still not working, make sure it is in /usr/share/icons and then create a /usr/share/icons/default folder. In that folder, put a file called index.theme with the following contents, then restart X.

I'll ask for permission from the creator. I'm not sure how well it will turn out though. - Mar 09 2008

I saw on the google page that you were looking to make an icon theme to go with elegant brit. While I am not a designer by any means there were a few things I thought I'd contribute that I feel many themes are lacking:

1) All icons should have a set transparent border around them, all being the same dimensions. This would keep tray icons in a nicer row.
2) Be original. I'd love to see folders with the same concept of these icons here. The "flat" and "gloss" looks seem to be popular but both overdo it.
3) Go for a full theme and don't release it half done. There is nothing more frustrating than a half finished theme. Take all the time you need and try to get all the icons. Battery, wireless signal, volume, etc. So many themes fall back to gnome/tango for these and it doesn't fit.

I look forward to seeing what the project comes out with. :) - Apr 16 2008

As I'm sure it's been noted, the statusbar icons don't use the alpha channel if they have one, but insead get drawn with the background color of the panel and overlap the orange a slight bit. - Mar 28 2008

Using Pidgin 2.4.0 in arch has the same problem. No errors though. - Mar 05 2008
Would it be possible for this screenlet to be "pidgin aware" so that it only runs if pidgin is running? - Feb 15 2008

Adding right now. I kept the template this time so I should be able to make them quicker. Still just widescreen for now. - Jan 30 2008
You could scale them yourself because that's all I'd have. I'll start making them in bigger sizes for that purpose. - Jan 28 2008
