The background of the image with all the green is really cool. I really like the idea and the effects used. To offer a bit of constructive critism, the text is extreamly hard to read. Also the red in the background (lower right corner) dosn't quite fit the color scheme. - Jun 19 2005

you know, I didn't even realize they were having sex. Regardless of how disgusting the slug's are the photo is really cool. I've never seen a slug colored in such a vibrant yellow before. It's also kind of neat that they are in almost a pieces like formation. What country was the photo taken in? Also your camera must be very nice as the slugs are beautifully captured in all their slimey detail! - Jun 18 2005

It's nice but theres some big problems. First problem is that the image is taken from the videogame Final Fantasy 9 and no credit is given for this. If you don't give credit, people will assume you did it. Since you didn't put your time and heart into the image you need to give some credit.

Even worse, the image is a screenshot made by IGN (www.ign.com) You can see it on (http://media.psx.ign.com/media/012/012190/img_1242341.html)
If a ad comes up in the link, you need to click continue above it to see image.

Note the logo here. It's even worse you've put your own image over top the IGN logo!

very nice. You know you can not define any form of nudity as porn. A beautiful professionaly done piece depicting a naked woman is just as much art as anything else. Come on people its not like this is hardcore, do you really find the female form offensive? Anyway I thought I might add that wikipedia says pron is:

Hey, this is by far the best looking calender I've seen yet. I've been using a seperate (not karamba) calender app called gDeskcal but I'd rather just have this. However I also experience numbers overlapping for double diget days. This is for all the skins. In the dashboard theme the day is to big and does not fit inside the border. I'm running a Debian machine, Kanotix 05 with KDE 3.4 to be more specific. I've also installed the font you provided and tried toggling anti-aliasing for fonts on and off. Hope a solution can be found so I can start using it, great work! - May 21 2005

seems like the glass effect blends into the white background to much making the helix blend to much with the background. I bet if you choose a diffrent background color like black that the glass helix would be much more pronounced and would really improve the quality of the image. Licensing works around copywrite's.. a GPL license as KDE-look prefers is a General Public Lisense which basically means that the image is in the public domain. People are free to distribute, edit, fix.etc.. the file you post as GPL. This is commonly known as Open Source software. If you are posting something that you did not orginally create it is common curtisy to give credit to the orginally author/artist/programmer of the file.

I picked the font because it seemed a little odd and seemed to fit into my theme okay. Personally I like it :) Though I was interested in your comment and found that I don't seem to have any of the 3 fonts you mentioned. You have me curious :) If you let me know where I might find these files, let me know. Or you could even email them to webmaster@alienreverence.com. I'd be willing to try it out and perhaps offer an alternative version in conjunction with the one I already have here. Anyone else think the project could be benefited by changing the 'Beyond Understanding' Font? - Mar 04 2005

I have taken a look at the tarball and made a few change's to the theme.rc, you must extract the contents of this file to the Ksplash directory (ex. /usr/share/apps/ksplash/themes) So the directory that is created after you extract should be AlienRev. I'm using it right now and it works great. If the problem was a corrupt upload, that should be fine now. I have downloaded it from this page and then installed to my KDE sucessfully.
