I'll wait just some more ... maybe then I release my specfile.
Either way I won't distribute 'my' RPM, you'll have to build it yourself (which is fun) or have someone else do it.
So ... keep checking this forum. - May 14 2003

I'm not in the business of distributing (binary) rpm's. I wouldn't mind sending you my specfile (or posting it to the public) - on the contrary! But then you'll have to build your own rpm, which is actualy quite easy ... and - more important - fun to do too!!
But first, I'll have to see what the specfile for Mandrake 9.1 looks like - just to make sure I didn't do something silly.
The next comment I made there ended with this remark:
But ... I still haven't seen an Mdk 9.1 specfile so I'm basically waiting to give it a try. (The maintainer must be extremely busy, given the progress of this neat project, so that doesn't bother me too much!) - May 10 2003

At this moment I am thinking about command line options (like: rpmbuild -ta --define 'distro SuSE' superkarama.xxx.tar.gz) but that might be considered much too 'quick and dirty'. (Command line options would be great to pass all kins of advandeced for configuring, though.)

I've been working on a specfile for RH 9 ... which was simple because I could start with DongCheon Park's neat specfile for karamba RH 9 / Mandrake 9.1 rpms. (My specfile might still work for Mandrake 9.1 but I can't test it!)
And yes .. I hoped you would include a specfile in your tarball. In the best scenario rpms could be built with just:
rpmbuild -ta superkarmaba....tar.gz
(Not easy with all differences between distro's .. maybe not even possible!)
Anyway, after you have posted your latest specfile- the slightly hacked version - I'll use it to 'update' my specfile and then send you my specfile. OK? - May 09 2003

Would there be anyone interested in testing this specfile (especially on Mandrake 9.1) or maybe just in having it to build their own rpms? It might even work on other sytems (with some tweaking ...)
(Yes ... this is sort of a crosspost, but I thought it would be better to post these messages in both projects.) - May 07 2003

My guess is that this rpm has been created with 'pre-compiled' binaries (the binaries weren't made when building the rpm but before)? That will mean that there is no 'real' src.rpm (constisting only of tarball(s), patch(es) and a specfile).
Am I correct? - May 07 2003
