Open a terminal and type "gconf-editor". Under apps there should be a subdir called "avant-window-navigator" if you have awn installed. There is a subdir beneath that called bar that has a property called "expand_bar" - Jun 22 2009

While I partially agree and want my Linux box to look different than my Windows machine, I disagree that the main reason for using Linux is for visual appeal. For one, Linux has many different desktop environments and there is no standard look for Linux. I understand there are those who prefer the look of Vista or OS X and an additional benefit of Linux is the freedom to make it look however you prefer. I think it's unfair to vote bad on this submission just because you don't agree with the idea of it. - Dec 19 2008

Looks great with my current theme. For those who don't know how to install this, open config.ini in the directory /usr/lib64/eclipse/configuration/ and add this line:
