Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by ipv4 223 comments

I should apologize for the alarmist title. I meant to write crashes in Suse 10.3. The OS was fine kooldock would just crash on open. It was late; I was tired. I got it corrected this morning. It was my local kooldockrc config file that was causing the problem. Once I got rid of that kooldock started and let me try agian with the config. If you'd like a copy of the offending file let me know.

It's probably worth noting that I'm running dual monitors managed as a "TwinView" with Nvidia's driver. Kooldock is working now but throws the following every time I click the "Apply" button in the config GUI.
X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
Major opcode: 20
Minor opcode: 0

I just installed Suse 10.3 and Kooldock from packman repository. It ran fine for a while then started crashing on start-up. I uninstalled and reinstalled from source and it would still crash on startup with "signal 8 (SIGFPE)"
crash backtrace as follows:
System configuration startup check disabled.
