With Beryl. In beryl settings under "Window management" and "Set window attribs by various criteria". Then under Window opacity, add "w:DropdownMenu:89", "w:Menu:89" and "w:PopupMenu:89". Replace 89 with something else if you want more og less transparency. - Jul 30 2007
