I switched from gtk-engines-qt4 because I got tired of all of its display glitches and the bug where Firefox would not exit cleanly. I must say, Oxygen Molecule is the truest GTK clone of Oxygen I have found. (It's still a shame that nobody actually ports the Oxygen drawing functions over to make a new GTK engine. Using pixmaps isn't too efficient.)

I only have one gripe, which I fixed for myself, but I'll mention it here in hopes of it being fixed in the official package. The TreeView's text color is wrong. It uses #444444 for the unselected text color. That color isn't used anywhere else, and it's wrong. It should be #141312 like the others. - Dec 11 2009

The images are also embedded in the Yahoo! Weather Konfabulator Widget, but I have no idea about the legality of using them outside of the purpose for which they are distributed. I'd suggest against your officially endorsing this icon set. If Yahoo! has a problem with my redistributing their icons (which incidentally anyone can obtain for free via HTTP from their web servers), I'll take down my copy.

Perhaps it would be less odious to distribute a script that fetches the images from the Yahoo! web server and builds the SVG. Then it would be up to each end user as to whether they want to use the Yahoo! images in the Simple Weather Forecast plasmoid. - Mar 12 2009

I updated this set to add some day/night indications to a few of the icons, following the example of the small icon set on Yahoo! Weather.

12: shower -> rain
37: storm -> storm-day
38: storm -> storm-day
39: storm -> shower-day
40: shower -> rain
45: shower -> shower-night
47: shower -> storm-night

Download location is the same. - Mar 06 2009

I made an icon set for this plasmoid from the beautiful weather images used on Yahoo! Weather. These look much more realistic than any other weather icon set I've seen. Enjoy! - Mar 03 2009

I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.

What a strange bug and an even stranger workaround/fix. I did what you suggested, and indeed, all my GTK apps returned to using anti-aliased fonts. Thanks for the tip! - Aug 20 2006

Kopete Styles by mwhitlock 2 comments

That's funny. I see it as .xsl.gz, which is simply the XSLT file compressed with gzip. Firefox should automatically decompress it, so you should just be able to save it as AIM.xsl and import it right into Kopete. - Feb 01 2006
