I have never been able to login with this app. either compiled from source or using the rpm pkgs. This release 0.5.5 fixes that problem. Logged in no problem. Wow. Great. Thanks. - Nov 09 2005
nascent--This is such a great and important contribution. I have used only gmail checking in superkaramba and as a firefox ext. I do not want to configure it as POP. Thus, your solution is perfect for me. I love this application and now I can immediately see if my gmail acct has new msgs. Thank you so much for your hard work. BTW. Everything works perfectly. - Aug 18 2005

All fixed. Thanks. - May 19 2005
Theme works great under fedora 3. I installed Suse 9.3, worked great last night. Today, errors and no soundmania. Hopefully you can help?

What does ImportError mean?

It means that I couldn't load a python add-on for soundmania.theme
If this is a regular theme and doesn't use python
extensions, then nothing is wrong.

Just a quick upate and again to add tons of kudos to your great work! I updated to PyQt 3.14, PyKDE 3.11, and sip 4.21. I do not have PyKDE CVS. All is running great from PyKDE. I installed all RPM pkgs from the KDE-Fedora repo. I have 5 superkaramba themes running including this one--cpu usage 6-8%. Prior to install of PyKDE, I ran at 12-14%. FYI. Thanks again! - May 01 2005
Thanks. Permissions problem. I changed permission on ~/theme/images and ~/amarok/albumcovers to read/write for owner/grp/third party. Works great. Thanks again. I'm sending my beautiful desktop.png to you email. I don't see how to upload a support image here. - Apr 26 2005
Sorry. I forgot to tell you I also installed Superkaramba 0.36, where prior to the album cover problem I was using 0.35. - Apr 26 2005
I love this theme and it worked perfectly as 1.6. I deleted 1.6 installed 1.7 and everything works great, except, the album cover now does not change. I have a permanent album cover "Pink Floyd - The Wall". I don't even have it in my collection! Nothing against "The Wall"!

I use amaroK 1.2.3. I have Python 2.3, sip-4.1.1, PyQt-3.13, and PyKDE-3.11. I added these (not Python) per your instructions thinking it might fix the problem. Same "Pink Floyd" album cvr.

I love the round cvr but I would rather have it working like before. Great job, love the theme. I would so appreciate any help. Thanks for your hard work. - Apr 26 2005

abatttoir--Nice idea with the skins. I wish I had some programming knowledge. So, unfortunately I can't make a contribution in that way. Just a plug for myself and probably many others with blue desktops -- something to match blue would be really great. I'm really enjoying the theme and again thanks for your excellent work. - Jul 30 2005
abattoir--
You are so kind. I love this theme and now it's really perfect for everyone. A version for all. This makes linux just that much better. I so appreciate your work. And I know you also help many people new to Linux.

Thank you and ever grateful! - Jul 23 2005
I love the idea of only the envelope and a number next to it. So, I selected choice 3 and entered my email and password. Saved the file and reloaded the theme.

I saw the envelope and the number 1. I click on the envelope, no firefox, I edited the browser default from "mozilla-firefox" to "firefox" and saved.

Click on envelope, firefox opens, ok. But, when I close firefox I see the message detail, click it again, it goes expanded, click again back to little envelope.

Is this how it works or is there a way to just click on the little env with the nubmer, have it open gmail in firefox, finish working on email in firefox -- close the browser, then see only the little envelope??

This theme is terrific and I love it!! I would just like to see only the little envelope!! Is this possible?? - Jul 22 2005
I love your theme. And now the mini version is great. I have the gmail extension in firefox but when I login to my desktop, I love seeing it right in front of me. Simple theme and so useful. Thanks again.

Again Matt -- awesome!!! I compiled SC.37-rc1. It has a great new look and lwp installed w/o having to do download, it god my location correct. This is so great. I'm sure coding was a ton of work. Know your work is really appreciated. - Jul 23 2005
Cancel that Matt. I forgot to reload the theme. Sorry. Hope your time off was good. - Jul 08 2005
Hi Matt--

I'm not sure what I did exactly. Here's the minor annoyance. Somehow the .superkaramba file appeared into my /home/downloads directory. this .superkaramba file had a later date than the one in my /home directory so I copied and overwrote the file from downloads to home. When I rebooted lwp was in German. I figured out which entry was to change language to English no problem.

The actual problem (minor) is the configure theme is still in German. What do I do? Thanks. - Jul 08 2005
Matt--
FYI. The new icon themes are fantastic. Also, the character effects of weather updates or configuration updates are fun to watch. Last, I recommend you add lines to the instruction set or the description which indicate compiling superkaramba from source is a safe route in order to go to preclude some problems that people are experiencing. More great work on the theme. - May 11 2005
Matt--
The sliding update is very cool. The theme is great and just keeps getting better. Thank you. - May 01 2005
Matt--I emailed you about a month ago because I could only display lwp as root and you emailed back with suggestions to fix the problem. Just a quick note to tell you it's fixed and I'm back up again. I love this theme and use it all the time. Thanks for all your hard work. You make my everyday life better. - Apr 26 2005

This game is really cool if you like to play, which I do. Way less risky playing in KDE!

Hey just some thoughts, are you going to keep developing it? Sound effects would be cool. Adding the rest of the functionality of the game would also be great.

Great work Ryan! - Jul 08 2005
Downloaded the source. I'm using Suse 9.3. Ran ./configure, make, make install. No kraps in the games area. I tried kraps from the command line. No go. What am I missing? Thanks. - Jul 03 2005

Thank you so much for giving me the coolest desktop I've ever seen!

Hello motyR--Sometimes, I feel stupid to ask for help and I'm glad I did. Thank you not only for help but being so kind in your reply. I installed your theme, followed your instructions and it's superior to anything included in KDE 3.3 or 3.4 (that I have seen). Great work and thanks for making it available to average Joe's like myself. Blessings to you. - Apr 01 2005
I am new to Linux using Fedora 3 and KDE 3.4 stable. I configured and installed the theme, went to the KDE Control Center/Theme Manager to activate the theme and it is not on the menu. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks and I think your work is great. - Apr 01 2005

I've been using amaroK anonymous cvs for months. I thought now that 1.2 is out and rock solid, I would install it. 1.2 compiles and installs no problem. When I start it there is a 3" x 4" postage stamp- like shrunk toolbar replica on the upper left part of the playlist screen. I uninstalled 1.2 and reinstalled anonymous cvs. The toolbar is fine in anonymous cvs. Any ideas how to fix?? I am running Fedora 3, KDE 3.3, Kernel 2.6.10-1.766. --And I'm a 3 month ago convert from Windows XP. I'm amazed at amaroK. Great work. Thanks-Mark - Feb 19 2005

Thank you. I'm a marketing guy with no tech experience. This is so simple and a great tool for me to use. I installed it and changed the font and the default inbox name. All works great. I hope you can help with email notification for 3 inboxes with different names. What should the code look like in the KMailNotify.theme file or is this even possible? Thanks again for the theme and any help you can give. Mark - Feb 04 2005
