Now my question would still be, why it is displayed on the second screen? I'd prefer it beeing on my primary screen (beamer connected to second screen, primary is still the LVDS-TFT of the notebook) - is there any chance of you looking into a possibility of defining the screen to use?
Thanks! I really like your clock - it enabled me to now really get rid of an always visible panel! - Mar 30 2010

Disclaimer: This is my personal taste! The Oxygen icons are a really, really great work of art and I like them - but (currently *g*) I prefer some less shiny icons on my desktop. - Mar 05 2009

nice icons. But could you pay attention to get a better aliased border? I'm using a dark background and have an ugly white border around the smilies so that they aren't really nice to look at.
Thanks :-)

do you plan to create a whole icon theme (oxygen/tango compatible? :-) ) or will you "just" create icons for the most important apps?

I'm using qt 3.3.6-r1:3 (gentoo portage tree).
meyerm@yavin /usr/local/src/falf $ qmake
uic: File generated with too old version of Qt Designer
Can you give me a hint how to get it to work? Thank you. - Aug 20 2006

I really like klik to simply try out software found here at kde-apps. Good work.
Concerning kalgebra: would it be possible to add some kind of subscription on the klik website? I'd like to try out the latest kablgebra and since it is not yet available it would be great if I could be notified by mail (for now I will just "subscribe" to this thread hoping you will post a "it's there" soon ;-) ).
Thanks,

I can't image for now if this theme would work as a single icon theme in a productive environment (they perhaps look to similar? ;-) ) but a desktop like this would surely look very nice!
So, go on - getting a full theme with "all" icons, a color scheme and a nice windeco would be an enrichment for KDE. - Jun 25 2005

I just applied your patch, modified for KDE 3.4 (content=22557) on PPC and it's sloooow. ;-)
Is this just a PPC problem or would I need an accelerated X with DRI & Co? - Apr 04 2005

Concerning the search: yes, only in webbrowsermode. Of course you can just type the searched word if it is at the beginning of a filename, but not in between.
So this is no alternative to a "real" searchbar like this proposal here - but I thought a nice "cheat" to know. :-) - Mar 13 2005

Konqueror supports some basic vi commands. The navigations keys work and also search. Simply type "/" followed by the search item and you get the text highlighted :-) - Mar 12 2005

So it also will be using arts (or any other sound daemon KDE will be using in the future)? That would be really nice since I'm using VoIP with SIP more and more. - Feb 01 2005

Video Apps by maldn 139 comments
for now I'm using kphone as my sip client. It's ok, but seriously lacks KDE integration (which is fine since kphone doesn't want to be a KDE program but independant - despite the k... ;-) ).
F.ex. using artsd, perhaps even automatically muting / fading out playing music. Or using the KDE Adressbook as source for the SIP numbers?
Thank you very much. - Jan 27 2005
* it should be possible to save the SIP password (not by editing the file and then loosing the changes whenever the config dialog is opened...)
* perhaps a better integration into KDE (use adressbook entries to call someone or to show who is calling :-) )
* QoS ensurance or sth. like that. It happens quite often that I sign into my sip-service and when someone calls the quality is _really_unuseable_. Since it can get better when I close kphone and reconnect (sometimes several times) I guess I get some other round-robin SIP-gateway - perhaps KPhone could test the line quality (latency/jitter)? Don't know if this is even possible with SIP.
That's all for now :-)
Thank you very much for bringing VoIP to KDE!! - Oct 30 2004

can somebody explain to a non-native-english speaker what exactly it means when "C/sth." "owns" you? I mean, I can own a computer, but how can sth. own me?
Oh, perhaps just like "slavery"? So does this wallpaper means, you're a slave of C? (That would make sense ;-) )

I really like your app. Do you know skippy (http://thegraveyard.org/skippy.php)? It's very similar. But I can't get it to work with many dekstops like kompose. So I would prefer kompose. But it is much faster than kompose - at least after the first screenshot. The first time opening the kompose window it is awful slow, afterwards it's still not really usable for everyday usage but much better. Skippy feels much, hmm - smoother(?).
Will this waiting all "disappear" with XCompose? Is it then possible to see the "live" output of window (not needed, just curious)?
Thank you - I'm _really_ looking forward for this app maturing :-) - Sep 05 2004
