I have Gentoo Linux and KDE 3.3 and it didn't crash for me. Try running KControl from a console and then open it. It should print some stuff about why it crashed. - Sep 02 2004
I have posted it. Thank you for your help. The problem was that I had a colon inside the quotations. I don't know why, but I did. - Sep 02 2004
I'll look at it and then release this thing after some more tinkering with the custom action stuff. I think I used an uppercase where there should have been a lowercase because nothing happens when I click the penguin. - Sep 02 2004
I have created a variant of the NVidia theme that has a Tux logo and loads instead of It has a few small modifications to the code: removing stuff that is buggy or broken from the config page, and adding a home(~) action to the avatar button. Please add more stuff like a home action, a custom execution option, and a do nothing option to the main code so that the button is more customizable.

It was very easy to recolor, but I don't know how to change the style name in the Contol center. Can someone, please, help me change the name so that it doesn't overwrite any other NVidia theme? - Sep 01 2004

The menu bar is rendered in seperate code than the window decorations, and it would be hard to combine them. You could make your title bar seemlessley blend to the menu bar tho. The home button probably won't be that useful and would require two buttons if you want it to cross from the title bar to the menu. If you move the buttons from the title bar to the bottom then you could make the top of the window decoration really short and then the menu bar would be where the title was. - Aug 02 2004

Actually, I'm starting to do this. Spiny icons and animations and stuff. kstart --type Desktop. I might need to make it have an icon container so that you can keep regular icons on your desk, or maybe make a tab that will hold the regular icons. - Jun 10 2004

I had alot of stuff typed in here, but KDE-Apps and KDE-Look have lots of little glitches, and this time it didn't remember my login.
The reason for it counting backwards is that you have an signed int for your counter. His computer might only have two byte(16 bit) int's, so after about nine hours of uptime the sign bit(first bit from the left) will be set and the integer will turn negative. Your program thinks that it should be negative because it recieves a negative number from secsTo, and then it remains negative when you divide. You should make it an unsigned long at least. Then it would take around 4 years. If you make it an unsigned long long(16-bits) it could be up for 584.9 billion years. I must be doing something wrong because that can't be right.

My mouse cursor turns black(No, it isn't supposed to be black) when I move it over KNemo. Is that just something that I set up wrong? - Jun 02 2004
I have created a new set of icons by modifying the ones supplied. I significantly darkened the dark screens. You notice when there is a data transmit now(maybe too much contrast). Anyway, you can get my icon set from .

I had something similar happen to me. It was my first real released program. It was also my first ever program written in C++(or C). ObjectDock docklets are actually simple because of the SDK. I made this: . Soon after I made mine, this: came along and bumped me off of the top ten downloads list. You shouldn't try to use my docklet unless the program changed again: the next release of ObjectDock went into an infinate loop upon contact with my Docklet. Actually looking at it now, it apears that mine was a little better with WA5(Managed to find 5superprealphleetness). Oh well, I can controll XMMS with my phone instead now. - Jun 02 2004
This program is esentialy the same as KNetworkLED. I actualy use KNetworkLED because the icons in KNemo are too hard to tell the difference between. I would actualy like it if the icons on KNetworkLED had a little mor contrast between states, but when I look at KNemo I think that there is data being transmitted unless I watch it until data is being transmitted. - Jun 02 2004
