GTK3 Themes by grvrulz 67 comments

My apologies. I must have inadvertently caused the problem myself somehow. Having recently re-downloaded your theme and put it on a fresh install of Gnome 3, I no longer experience the issue. - Jun 26 2011

I don't know if anyone else have brought this to your attention. Using the new Unico-based theme, menus in Totem Movie Player are all pink. All the other applications I've tried have their menus correctly colored.

Gnome Shell Themes by Padster 33 comments

In my opinion this is one of the very best Gnome-shell themes yet released. It's very elegant, and I have a feeling I'll be hanging on to it for a while. I also like how it isn't transparent (as long as we don't have alpha blurring, transparency tends to not work very well).

I have found one possible bug so far, though. When you click the volume icon (and certain other icons on the notification area), the drop-down panel seems to be placed on top or in front of the status bar. This looks slightly wrong.

When I click my user name or the clock, however, the drop-down panel drops down in such a way that it appears to be behind the status bar, so that the status bar casts a shadow on the drop-down panel, and the whole thing looks very elegant :-) I presume this is how it is supposed to work? If so, would it be possible to change that so that it works in the same way for all the status icons? - Jun 19 2011

In the readme file it says:

"To install, run:
sudo ./install.sh"

It should be
sudo sh ./install.sh

Talika applet

Various Gnome Stuff by vinoddahiya 114 comments

I can imagine this one being extremely difficult to implement, but it occurs to me that, since a lot of applications (web browsers, text editors, file managers etc.) use tabs, it would be very useful to see each tab being represented by its own preview window. In other words, even if I have only one instance of Nautilus or Epiphany-browser open, I would see several preview windows, each displaying the contents of the various open tabs. I have no idea how one might achieve this, so I'm just throwing this idea out there :-)

Anyway, love your applet, keep up the good work! - May 04 2010
elementary Icons

Full Icon Themes by DanRabbit 330 comments

Love your work. Since I came across your icons (as well as your GTK and Metacity themes), I have barely switched icon themes at all, and I always come back to yours.

I realize you're getting all sorts of requests for more - which is certainly evidence of the popularity of your work. None the less, I would still like to know if you are planning on including status icons (aka "tray icons") for any of the more popular applications, such as Rhythmbox and Transmission, in future releases. Seeing how well this has been implemented in the latest updates to the Humanity icon set, I'd love to see the same in elementary.

Snackr icon for elementary theme

Icon Sub-Sets by rafeviper 4 comments

When I installed Snackr, the default behavior was for it to run with window decoration, meaning both the main RSS ticker and the various pop-up windows had a metacity title bar as well as a border around them. This obviously detracted from the overall esthetic impression of the application. Anyway, I was able to solve the problem with a bit of research. In case anyone else is having the same problem, and provided they use Compiz, they can manually exempt Snackr from having its decorations drawn by manipulating the "Window Decoration" plugin. In the field called "Decoration windows", enter "any & !(class=Snackr)". Now Snacker should no longer be decorated :-) - Mar 02 2010

This icon is certainly a huge improvement over the default, and fits perfectly in with the Elementary icon theme.

Question: How do you get Snackr to run without window decorations, as seen in your screenshot?

Thanks again :-) - Mar 02 2010
Linux Power

First off: Good job. I really like this picture, and I would certainly have downloaded it for myself.

However, upon closer inspection I could not help but notice you have misspelled "powerful". It is spelled with only one L, as you may easily verify by a quick dictionary search (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/powerful)

Fix this, and I'm sure you'll see a lot more people downloading your wallpaper :-)
