I plugged in my USBDrive, and KDE detected it and set it up on the desktop w/ the 'default' ICON.

I right clicked it and told KDE to use this, but every time i disconnect, then reconnect KDE goes back to the UGLY Default. :( - Oct 13 2005

Great set! I downloaded it primarily for the trashcan icon but that one is not in the package. Will it be released soon?

(oh, small error on the trash icon btw... The "full trashcan" icon is still transparent even though it's full of that cool green stuff :) Maybe you could make the icon show that inside the full icon to block the transparency as well?) - Feb 06 2004

These are great! Where do you put these so firebird uses them instead of the KDE default (that ugly 'x').

I tried what one of the tips n ticks pages said. In ...
~/.phoenix/default/e53rs4t8.slt/chrome/icons/default

But that isn't working :( - Jan 27 2004

SuSE BlackTux Boot Splash

Various Stuff by truszek 17 comments

I have unpacked the file in

/usr/share/splash/themes/SuSEsplash

I now have 3 folders in that dir

bootloader
config

I ran edited /etc/sysconfig/bootsplash
so it now reads

/etc/bootsplash/themes/SuSEsplash
THEME="bootsplash"

I then ran SuSEconfig and mk_initrd and got the following...
# SuSEconfig --module bootsplash
Starting SuSEconfig, the SuSE Configuration Tool...
Running module bootsplash only
Reading /etc/sysconfig and updating the system...
Module bootsplash does not exist
Finished.

# mk_initrd
