Promising plasmoid :)

Talking about layout, Fedora has a custom (at least in openSuse its different) Network management plasmoid

The nice thing is 2 column layout. Hey even net books has plenty of available space for such things. So using 2nd column for preview and controls would look cool :D

Also it would be nice to have:
Scroll wheel to switch to next/previous activities, and
Double Click action on icon to switch to the next activity (useful four touch screens, or cases where is not wheel)
