Yes, 1 or 2 very early versions were based on Slackware but from 4.2 (that is pretty much seen as the first "real" S.u.S.E. Linux release) on it had its own codebase and had nothing in common with Slackware any more.
Now how to put that on the graph... ;) - Apr 28 2006

Well, anyway, I see you're not interested by the fact that there are RPM packages of codeine for SUSE Linux users, that's a pity.
As the discussion seems to be useless, to say the least, I'd still like to say thank you for your work on your OSS projects.
Keep up the good work. - Apr 13 2006

And BTW, although your work is much respected, your comment itself is pretty ridiculous. Either ArchLinux is illegally shipping WMV and other codecs it has not licensed (amongst others, I doubt it has the 60000 EUR to license the MPEG patents, including the fact that macrovision isn't supported on Linux as of now anyway) or people are just not getting the necessary information.
The packman repository has all you need for full-featured media playback on SUSE Linux. - Apr 13 2006

Not everyone is using Ubuntu and from the RSS feed or on the main kde-look.org page, this looks like the crystal source release. - Jan 07 2006
This way, I (and others) can provide RPMs that install deKorator themes ;)
The patch certainly needs some refinements, was done in 5min and while I did a lot of C++ in the past, I never used the KDE API, but it seems to work for a start (the preview doesn't seem to work though, probably must add the same logic in another method).
Would be great if you could spend some of your time to implement it properly ;)
cheers & happy new year to everyone - Dec 31 2005

I mean... MSN isn't any better than Jabber, ICQ, Yahoo.. but people use it nevertheless, and it definately is a great thing to have MSN clients on Linux (even though I myself exclusively use Jabber for IM ;-))
Teamspeak has been around for quite some time though, and from my experience, *that*'s what gamers use. And it works on Linux. - May 21 2005

When it unpacks, it messes up the admin/Makefile.common file.
I just copied one from another kde-related source (was baghira, actually) over it.
Another bug: in src/kpager2.cpp you're missing an include statement for qimage.h:
#include <qimage.h>
And, again, two issues that are not "critical" but pretty annoying for packagers:
1) the clock skew, please fix your time settings, the files in the package have a timestamp in the future ;)
2) the subdirectory when unpacking, please make that kpager2-0.6.0
Thanks.
(BTW, I'm the maintainer of the SUSE RPM, the 0.6.0 package will be available in some hours on my site, for SUSE 9.2, 9.2+KDE3.4, 9.1, 9.1+KDE3.3) - Mar 29 2005

The issues when compiling 0.3.1 come from the fact that you named the parameter of the showErr() method "errno". Actually, "errno" is a global function that comes from /usr/include/errno.h
The fix merely consists in renaming that variable to something else, e.g. "errorNumber".
Also, you should declare the variables passed to showErr() and showUI() as const in the header file, as they are declared as such in the cpp file.
Here's the diff that fixes compilation.

on startup, it gives an error "The file or folder /usr/lib/squirrel does not exist."
Now, first of all, ksquirrel should use /opt/kde3/lib as its library prefix, even more because I explicitely specify --libdir=/opt/kde3/lib to ./configure.
But the strangest part is that ksquirrel actually doesn't even seem to have its own lib directory.
Could you clarify this please, as I don't have the time to track it down in the sources myself ?
