Hi Baltasar, thanks for your kind words and for the nice blog post! - May 23 2019
Hi goodtrailer, thanks for suggestion. I don't really maintain the plugin much beyond occasional bug fixes. In the future I'll most probably implement time formatting according to the configured user locale. - Apr 22 2019
You are right. There's something wrong with Qt5 environment on Ubuntu 17.
Just do `sudo mv /usr/lib/plugins/kwin /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins` and you should be fine. - Feb 15 2019
Hi onetuser,

OSD Clock is a KWin effect plugin, so you should see its configuration UI in "Desktop Effects" category. I have just uploaded a screenshot of System Settings application window for you to see what it should look like. - Feb 15 2019
Indeed! On Fedora you need to install dbus-devel package. On Debian/Ubuntu it's libdbus-1-dev. I'll update the README accordingly. Thanks for reporting! - Aug 31 2018
Thanks for the feedback. I know about the HiDPI issue. I've already noticed it on my FHD+ display. I can imagine that it looks much worse in 4K. I'll try to fix it soon. - Aug 30 2018
Hi GZU,
thanks for explanation.
I should update the build instructions to point out the differences between distributions.
Regarding the interface declaration XML: It's strange. Could you please post the output of 'pkg-config --variable=interfaces_dir dbus-1'?
Thanks - Aug 16 2018
Thanks, you're very kind. I made it for myself years ago when our good old BeClock died along with Plasma 4. They even share some parts of code (specifically the blur effect).
Would you mind sharing the issues you had in Fedora? Or perhaps even better please file a bug report(s) over at GitHub if you think there's something I should fix. - Aug 14 2018

So you're no need to update your PKGBUILD for each release.

But that's the way the non-VCS packages in Arch Linux work. They are updated manually and guaranteed to work. I'm afraid, that bulding a non-VCS package from common svn tag ("release" in this case) does not conform to Arch package guidelines. Imagine your latest "release" cannot be built on current Arch. There would be no way to checkout/build the previous release. This is what VCS (e.g. smooth-tasks2-svn) packages are for. - Feb 14 2012
Hello, could you please update the .desktop file (X-KDE-PluginInfo-Version at least) to reflect the current status? I decided to maintain an Arch Linux package[1] and I'd like this to be correct. I would also appreciate if you could include a top level directory in the source tarball. Thanks.

Hi, your way of probing for presence of cdemud via QDBusConnectionInterface::isServiceRegistered(...) does not work with D-Bus service autostarting, which is default in upcoming cdemu 1.3.1 - Jan 17 2011
