1) Delete the line: find_package(Plasma REQUIRED)
2) Replace ${PLASMA_LIBS} with ${KDE4_PLASMA_LIBS} - Jan 17 2009

build-essential, cmake, kdelibs5-dev, libplasma-dev
Tip: I suggest installing the "apt-file" program. When cmake complains that it can't find the file such-and-such, use "apt-file search such-and-such" to find the package with the needed file. - Dec 19 2008

Refresh every: 5 seconds
Font: Monospace 9
Command: Quote:top -b | head -17 | tail -11 | awk '$9!=0 {printf("%5s %4s %s\n",$1,$9,$12)}'
top -b | head -17 | tail -11 gets the top 10 processes using the most CPU. The awk command filters out processes with 0% CPU, and cuts down the displayed information to just the process name, PID, and %CPU. - Aug 10 2008

Thank you so much for making this theme! You are a talented artist.
Just for reference, I'm using Aya with the Oxygen window and widget style, with the Obsidian Coast color scheme. - Jul 31 2008

Also, could you make a generic KDE4 version? That would be sweet. - Jan 17 2008

I like this applet, but I wish I had more control over its display. (And not just to correct spelling :-) For instance, it would be cool if I could change "THM: 44 C" to "Temp: 44C" etc. Also, it would be neat if the font for the value was controlled separately from the font for the whole line. (E.g., have "CPU:" non-bold but the temperature that follows in bold.) One of the reasons I like KDE apps is that they usually allow an enormous ammount of custimization.
But it's good enough for me for now. :-) - Apr 21 2007

I also agree that KDE4 deserves a totally new Kicker. I personally would like to see a system that makes the System Tray and the Taskbar simply applets like everything else. People could write their own implementations, much like we have KBFX to replace the default K-menu.
For instance, I want an implementation that merges the Taskbar into the System Tray, because Taskbar entries take up so much space, and have much less functionality than System Tray icons. - Jan 28 2007
I really like the dar utility: it has built in compression that lets you list it's contents without extracting the file, you can extract files from the archive without extracting the entire archive, it supports incremental backups, and it breaks backups into disk sized chunks, which makes writing them to CD's or DVD's much easier. Unfortunately evey simple backup utility that automates backups either doesn't use compression or uses tar.gz files, which simply isn't as nice.
Any chance you could add automation of backups (and removal of old backups)? - Jan 27 2007

Settings > Configure > Appearance > Chat Window, and click "Install..."
Unfortunately, I'm not sure Kopete uses the same format for theme files anymore. I couldn't get it to install. - Dec 25 2006

But more importantly, shouldn't it be Renaissance, not Renascence? Both spellings are acceptable, but I see the first one more often. Or is it one of those American English vs. British English spellings? - Nov 18 2006

I still think Konqui ought to look more like Godzilla, but maybe I'm being too tough on him. After all, his main mascot competition is a window, a penguin, and an apple. How tough do you need to be? :-) (Gnome doesn't really have a mascot does it? Does a footprint count as a mascot?)
But the penguin is cool. I think I'll go play SuperTux...
Maybe we could make a dragon-penguin? That would be... weird. - Oct 14 2006

It looks like people are liking the idea so far, so unless the Storage Manager is radically different in KDE 4, I'll try to make this. - Sep 22 2006
