Thanks for the complements.

p.s. I noticed you posted a Krisp TGZ for slackware and have it listed for KDE 3.4. Does that mean you got it working with 3.4? - May 05 2005

KDE 3.5 Themes by rufuseddy 3 comments
Look for Krisp 0.2 very soon (hopefully as a Christmas present to all).
Cheers!

"i would prefer the gradient-style for buttons, scrollbars.. like current plastik-style."
In future versions, I see this becoming a configurable option.
"also the Popup-Menu in Lipstik...looks more _nice_"
Indeed. I was going for a unified theme here where everything takes on the same feel. I find that user interfaces become surprisingly enjoyable to use when everything is consistent and has the same feel. I am actually in the process of expanding on this in future versions. As for the specific menu style that you like, it would be easy to make this style into an option.
"also white arrows on pulldown-menus...looks also very _good_"
Agreed. In Krisp (and I believe in PlastikQ as well) this is based on the text highlight color that you have configured in the Control Center. Again, this is for consistency. White arrows simply require a white text highlight color.
"the Hover-effect when the mouse-pointer is moved over toolbar-buttons in current plastik-style is also nice"
Krisp uses the same style for this.
So to recap, I've got a lot of great ideas (I think) for where I want to go with the Krisp style. Hopefully I should be making another release before long, so stay tuned! Thanks for your comments!!

I'm trying to track this down. Anyone with info on this, please make a post. I've noticed that so far on the computers I've tested as well as from the reports I've gotten, it could be confined to Slack-10/kde-3.3.1
Thanks

I think legalos has the right idea here. Maybe after Krisp becomes more mature i'll look into combining the three with options to choose different widget styles. Right now, i've just begun and I just wanted to get Krisp out there and get some feedback.
Anway, I hope you enjoy what I've got done so far and keep your eyes opened for the next version.

Im sorry about Krisp replacing your Lipstik style. I guess it was irresponsible of me to not make it completely obvious that this happens with the current version.
Hopefully this will be a non issue very soon!

Please note that Krisp will NOT overwrite Lipstik in the future. This is simply because I am at a 0.1 (read beta) release, and I have not had time to make the huge amounts of changes necessary. I just liked what I had so much that I wanted to share it with others and see if I could get some feedback.

Note that while the Control Center crashes when you apply this theme (as well as others), no harm is done and you can still apply and use the theme. Bascally, it's just an annoyance.

KDE 3.x Splash Screens by spiff 70 comments
I have made a corrected bmp which can be found at http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/kmeehl/handy_128.bmp
Secondly, the color settings will work only on lilo 22.5.8 and up, so anyone running 22.5.7 will have to upgrade.
Finally, cool idea for a boot image. I likie. =)
