Great splash screen. This is one of my 2 favorites (Metallic KDE 3.3 + 3.2 spash screen). These splash screens deserve a higher rating. I like this one so much, I'm using this even though I use KDE 3.2! - Aug 15 2004

The mounted hard drive/unmounted hard drive bug has been fixed- good work!

The new KOffice icons are fantastic! Much better than the old ones- except at smaller sizes. When it's scaled down (like in the menus), they don't look very good anymore. I would suggest using the original KOffice icons (before 1.0 update) for the small sizes, and the new icons for the big sizes. It may not look so consistent, but "mini" icons are pretty cool! - Jan 17 2004

I don't think it can be in standard artwork because it may be copyrighted, etc. and Microsoft may go to court or something about it. So I don't think it can be in standard artwork.

And people- stop arguing about this style! It just imitates XP, there are styles that imitate all sorts of OS'es out there! If you don't like XP, then don't use the style. (That's why I don't use it).

Besides that, I would give it a "good" since it is a very nice imitation (even though I think that the XP style is ugly) - Jan 17 2004

This window decoration looks great with most styles, (ecept if it has dark color sceme) it looks great with Keramik (silver). But the problem was that, well, the buttons didn't have anything on them! This makes it much more user-friendly. The buttoncoded one solves the problem too, but I like this one better. - Jan 13 2004

I think that someone (or you) should make a GTK theme that matches this one. I agree with previous posts- make the combobox, checkboxes a bit less like Aqua.

Also on the window decoration- first, make it smaller. I don't like window decorations that are really big, they eat up room on the screen. (Like Windows XP's) I think you should make the buttons change color like Glow, or put a sort of bubble, highlight, etc. around the text. (Like Keramik, MandrakeGalaxy window decoration) - Jan 13 2004

You have outdone yourself on this great wallpaper! It looks very good on my desktop, and the colors blend in with my icons, unlike some wallpapers with contrasting colors that shock my eyes a bit too much.

The effects are amazing!! Which graphics program did you use?

I'm looking forward to more wallpapers.

P.S. Maybe you could make this one in

This is honestly the best window decoration I have ever seen. It's the first one that convinced me to drop that old MandrakeGalaxy decoration and get another one.

It's great because:
1. It matches themes like alloy, thinkeramik, plastik, and MandrakeGalaxy
2. It's very easy to configure and customize. (Keep it simple in future releases)
3. It isn't too spartan, but it doesn't have way too many decorations that are distracting.

Just two requests:
Make it so you can disable the blue line in the window decoration. Sometimes it may be good, but sometimes you might not want it. (Depends on colors)

And maybe you could make it so you could adjust the color regardless of the color sceme (E.G. My color sceme makes it dark blue, but I want it to be a lighter shade). But this isn't that important and we could do without this feature.

Otherwise, great work. Keep it up in the next release. - Dec 11 2003
