this is very good idea.. akine to OSX keeping "all" files in /Library/ or ~/Library/. at least we can see "all" the relevant files. though dpkg -L (on deb related machines) shows all the installed files, it would be nice to see all the userspace files too.. - Jan 03 2008

Firstly, a great app - use it all the time.

Is it possible to rename the tabs automatically to PWD when changing directories - honoring Konsole's style:
export PS1=$PS1"\[\e]30;\w\a\]"

This works in Konsole. - Nov 09 2007

Thanks.. I added the xmlrpc.php extension to the blog URL and that worked... Thanks a lot. I did not see this info anywhere... It might be worthwhile to include this info is the main page here on kde-apps and/or along with the software, in some README file. It would help at least n00b bloggers like me.

Thanks once again, looking forward to the KDE4 updates.... Great Work. - Aug 02 2007
From the "configure" dialog, what is the Blog-ID field? And the "Get blog IDs from the blog." button does not do anything... I am assuming that if is by blog, then the Blog's URL box has to be

Looking forward to a solution.... - Jul 31 2007

Firstly, kudos for your fork. I am a fan of Katapult.
I am running Debian-Unstable with the original Katapult (0.3.1-1), and I don't see this bug.
1. Katapulk
- nothing
2. backspace
- Katapult shows up

I haven't tried the new fork yet though. Is there any way I can get back to the old one if I want to, after installing this new fork? - Jul 03 2007

works gr8! - Jan 26 2007
just changed the itrans binary to the x386 binary from the above download link. seems to work! didn't need any "installation" procedures. - Jan 24 2007
will be eagerly waiting for the update! - Jan 24 2007
well i can read sites like comfotably. a simple find gives the presence of
/usr/local/share/fonts/mangal.ttf which is a unicode compliant true type font for the devnagri script. of course i can see and read other hindi sites too...

running $ ./itrans -U -i ../../scripts-data/lyrics.itx
from the directory
gives the following error:
bash: ./itrans: cannot execute binary file

but lyrics.itx is not a binary file, i can view it. something else is bugging it. - Jan 19 2007
Forgot to add this info:

$KDE-AMAROK/scripts-data/lyrics.itx does have the correct lyrics with 444 permission but it is not able to display in the context browser of amarok. - Jan 16 2007
nope. doesn't work. it just displays..

I tried setting all options of Amarok to "Default", but that did not help. Is this any font related issue? Do I need to have any particular font(s)? - Jan 16 2007
Firstly kudos for this script, have been looking for something like this for a while now.
Ok now the issues:
Installed the .tar.gz file from the install script dialog, and ran it using the Run script button. But upon a successful search of a song, the Lyrics tab tries to "Fetch" lyrics and ends with displaying just the following line:
Powered by iTRANS (

Upon clicking the "Open in external browser" icon under the Lyrics tab,it opens up the right .isb file from giitayaan website, but not able to display the lyrics. I'm using Debian/unstable and I do have ruby1.8 installed. I have two specific UTF-8 hindi fonts too. What else am I missing? - Jan 08 2007

~$ ps aux |grep powersaved
root 29513 0.0 0.0 4416 1032 ? S Apr25 0:03 /usr/sbin/powersaved -d -f /var/run/acpid.socket

so the powersaved daemon is running. now what user/group permissions are you referring to? - Apr 28 2006
I don't see any 'Settings' option by right-clicking on the kpowersave system-tray-icon. The only option is 'Help' and 'Quit'!!

I am using, Debian/unstable, and did "apt-get install kpowersave"..
The following extra packages will be installed:
dbus hal libcpufreq0 libpowersave10 powersaved
Suggested packages:
hal-device-manager zenity

The "space" that you mention can be removed by toggling the F9 key. The first instance after starting the konqueror does show the "useless space" but consequent toggling(display/hiding) of the navigation panel removes that space!! Bug? Harmless, in anyway!! - Apr 26 2006
