Thank you for the reply. I tried that and placed it in:
/Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/share/lua/extensions

But VLC did not recognize the scripts. They do show up in the menu, just not functional. - Apr 13 2017

I don't understand. I see the script but no download option. Do we copy the script into a text document and add .lua for the extension? - Apr 12 2017
