I'm running Koffice 1.5.1. I installed the plugins and opened a picture. As soon as I clicked on the icon for redeye removal, Krita crashed. Repeated efforts yielded the same results. So, this part doesn't seem usable at all. Koffice and plugins were both installed from source on Slackware current. - May 31 2006

Each time I run configure it claims I don't have libbeagle installed. I do have that installed. It came with Beagle and it installed in /us/local/lib. I tried updating PKGCONFIG_PATH to point to the .pc file. That didn't help either. Beagle is version beagle-0.2.5 built from source. So what might actually get it to build? - May 12 2006

Sounds like a good idea. But the files you put out for download are crippled for most of us. I'm not going to downgrade automake just so I can build your program. Every other program I have had to build here has been no problem. So, is it just that you want to be obscure and out of touch? Or would you like for people to actually use this? - Apr 21 2006

The script asks me where I want to save files, format to save in and quality. It then proceeds to convert files that I don't want converted. I only want it to convert m4 files that I stored in one directory. But it jumps over to another directory and completely ignores the files I would like to convert. Wouldn't it be just a little more logical to at least ask the user which files he would like to convert? I want me to decide, not the script. - Jul 04 2005

The problem with building anything like this is that the packages are so different from one distro to another. We need to make it non-threatening for new users to build from source. Kconfigure is a good step in that direction. And Checkinstall helps in building the right package for your distro. But if it were done right, installing from source would be so seamless that any Windows user could manage it. - Jun 04 2005

Every time I try to use this, it complains that it can't find kde-config. This is strange, because that program is in /opt/kde/bin with all of my other KDE executables. So, how do I make it stop complaining? I already tried adding the full path to the shell script, but it didn't help. - Mar 19 2005

You obviously have real design skills, which is more than I can say for most of the people who post wallpapers here. But I like to see wallpapers with placement for the standard icons in mind, like Trash, Desktop, Floppy and CD. I'm usually running at least one Karamba monitor too. It would be nice to see some screenshots with ideas. I generally have a hard time coming up with good window decorations, color schemes and icons to go with the good wallpapers I see here. It's nice when people can at least illustrate a total design. - Oct 09 2004

Earlier versions of Amarok worked fine. But with 1.1, it starts up fine. Then when I try to get it to play a file, it goes to 100% CPU consumption and throws this error:

It gets through configure with no problems. But the build dies like this:

I'm using KDE 3.3 Beta 2. Kontact now has built-in support for spam filters like Spamassassin and Bogofilter. This adds some buttons to Kontact that do not have matching icons in Flat. Haven't had time to research their names yet. - Aug 01 2004

I've used K3B on this same box before with no problems. But with 0.11.12 I can't burn an image at all. First, it claims there is no media present (there is). If I do an eject and load, it makes the same claim. Then it just sits there. So, I select "force" and it tries to burn, but dies with this error:

Christ! You want to apologize for doing a lot of work and doing it well? Other people need your afflictions. This is very clean, no-nonsense design. I like it when icons are simple enough for my eye to go to the right place immediately. There are way too many "pretty" icons that just make navigation difficult.
