I tracked down the bug... It was caused by gtk-menu-popup-delay. You can comment out (or delete) this line in the gtkrc file. It should be the third line down from the top. I will upload new package tomorrow with that and a couple other fixes. - Jul 04 2009

sudo apt-get -y --force-yes install libpanelappletmm-2.6-1c2 libpanelappletmm-2.6-dev libwnck22 libwnck-dev libwnck-common
The "-y --force-yes" is for all the dependencies... There are a ton if you don't already have a lot of -dev packages installed. - Jan 23 2009

using the theme manager only installs to /home/username/.themes. since synaptic is run as root, it does not inherit the user's current theme. - Sep 04 2007

If so, do the scrollbars and sliders display correctly? What distro are you using, and did you compile gtk2-engines from gnome sources or from a distro repo?
I have only tested this theme on my PC. I'm running Feisty with gtk2-engines-2.11.4 from the pollycoke repo.
If you mean the MCity theme... It shouldn't have buttons on unfocused windows. You should only see them on hover. - Aug 16 2007

There are still lots of things to be fixed. Yes, mostly some of the colors. Also some size\spacing inconsistencies. And specific application issues. - Aug 14 2007

also, when the window is shaded and unfocused there is a grey line at the very bottom.
otherwise, it's a very nice theme. - Mar 23 2007

the horizontal one appeals more to me, but it would require way more movement than necessary to launch an application... click on applications menu, go to sound & video (which now is at least half way across the screen), choose the first item (now half (or all) the way across the screen again). and what about menus that are longer than the screen?
the pie design would certainly need less movement to navigate, but i would imagine that it would have even trouble more dealing with larger menus. - Mar 27 2006

and yes, i did more or less say "everything is wrong", but i followed it up with a big paragraph citing what was wrong... so, um... there you go. you weren't meant to do anything with that. it was strictly my opinion. - Jul 28 2005
stipple\scanline is ugly. it was ugly on mac, it was ugly on kde (baghira), and it's ugly on gnome. even more so, since the menu bar doesn't get stippled. handles don't don't need to be aqua-fied. all of the vertical resize bars are messed up. the horizontal resize bars don't look so hot either since they aren't big enough to see the image. text entries look terrible rounded, as the cursor overlaps the rounded corners. menus (main, drop-down, pop-up, etc) have no border, which looks really bad. and as with most aqua\mac themes, xchat's input line is unusable (grey fg on white bg). the most noticeable thing, though, is that there is no consistency in the colors of the aqua images. not with each other or the stock icons.
this theme looks like what it mostly is... a bunch of other people's bad mac themes thrown into one just-as-bad theme.
and on top of all that... sloppy packaging. there are so many backup files (3 of gtkrc alone), unused icons, and files of questionable licensing (System.Library.Components.Ink.component.Contents.SharedSupport.InkServer.app.Contents.Resources.PrefApp.png? (also unused)). - Jul 27 2005
The icon you have chosen for gnome-fs-client is not immediately recognizable. It looks like a "Windows" (metacity properties) icon... In fact, it's the same icon you used for that too. On the first screenshot you have posted above, the first icon on the very last row is quite clearly a computer. Seems to me, that icon would be more appropriate.
Other than that, I think most everything else looks great. Thanks. - Jul 18 2005

as for the theme... too black. it's really difficult to see. i can barely find the resize bars or the resize handle (?.. whatever you call that grippy thing at the bottom right corner of apps). i can't find the scrollbars at all unless my mouse is over them. certianly can't see black icons on the panel. can't tell the unused workspaces from the panel on the ws switcher. firefox is an abosulute mess. i can't see the adblock button or anything else the resides in the ffx's statusbar. the mixer applet is no good since you can't see anything but the speaker cone(?). even the tooltips are somewhat difficult to see.
i know that's a lot.. sorry. - May 18 2005
