So you should change the name of your entry here, make it known that it is A I686 mdk rpm. - Oct 19 2004

Why is it writtent i686? Did you compile it for 686? Mandrake rpms should be compiled i586. - Oct 18 2004

Who can be dumb enough to pour bleach into someone's eyes in order to turn them blue?
A moron, and a shitty one, i tell you. - Sep 13 2004
Then I realized that it was probably some coincidence, nonetheless you should probably think about making some changes to that part of the picture and/or to the name/pseudo.
The icon is pretty cool on the other hand. Splitting kde in two is not very readable tho. - Sep 12 2004

I compiled it with kde 3.2 from stock mdk, kde3.2.3 rpms from ftp.kde.org and kde3.2.92 rpms (from club.contrib iirc).
It works and compile with all of them. I went back to kde3.2 from mandrake since some plf apps dont work with the other rpms. - Sep 05 2004

I came back here to tell people to remove .kde/share/config/kwincoronarc but you were one step ahead already. Nice job. - Sep 03 2004

nvidia, lunamet and luna work great and dont crash at all.
I had the previous nvidia installed, so maybe a conflict?
For the name, I'm not english but i believe the name ASS K could be interpreted in very unexpected ways. At least, name it KASS, it sounds better and can stand for KickASS project.
Which is what it is. Great Job! - Sep 03 2004

Also, i had to remove the menu shadow, since it wouldnt draw correctly, but this happen in all themes i know.
And finally and worse, wether I remove all shadows option even text, all ripple or whatever linked to menus or not, there is a redraw of the menus AFTER they have raised. I already had 2 krashes with 2 apps, konqui and kopete, since I put this theme and always during a menu operation.
On the aesthetical side, this theme is very very good. - Sep 02 2004

it's impossible to have 2 panels like you did in the middle and to have them auto hide, as they then will overlap each other.
The only way I managed to have something usable was to mix a panel and a kasbar, with different auto-hiding times and sizes so i can have them appear at the same place, but one retract very soon, so it doesnt stay in the way of the other if I dont need it.
Not very handy. - Aug 13 2004

Does it really talk to the user to see:
*books on the lib directory (i would think of docs in there)
*cubes on dev (i would be puzzled)
*a pen on var (must be writable!)
etc etc ...
All this explain nothing to the clueless and nothing to those who know.
Second, you will need to do it for every distro. Yes, every distro put different things in those directories.
Logs in var therefore the pen? ah! Mandrake put html and rpms also in there.
Libs in libs? Ah! Conectiva put kde3 and its bin and stuff there!
And what about /opt that some use some don't. And /usr/local? You do it again for everything in it? What about XFree and its bin and libs and stuff all over the place. And are you ready to start over again when distros will switch to XOrg?
Finally, what is the real use of this?
Do users ever go around their hard drive wondering what is this directory and that? You feel they need to know what is the purpose of each directory? You believe they will find a text only description of all places and whats in them too harsh?
Then do a nice visual tutorial for them. - Apr 29 2004

And no, since we are all on the same network, the security of your config files is important to me. Right now i receive every day 10 emails with my email adress on it which have been rejected by some mail server because some person who know me has his computer infected by a virus which sends emails with his adressbook's adresses.
If we all together make crappy security, it wont be long before the situation under linux ressembles that of crappier OSes. - Apr 16 2004

I take a lot of time to find styles that waste the least pixel possible. And it's not that easy.
Also, not everyone has a big desktop or the eyes healthy enough to have small fonts.
It can make a lot of pixels in the ends. - Apr 16 2004

And to reply to an above post of you, I am replacing connectiva icons by yours.
I guess it's a mix of what is new and desktop coherence.
People who used your icons are now discovering the great connectiva set, and after having replaced a few icons, find themselves switching the whole set for coherence.
I did the opposite, I used the great connectiva set first, and liked the few bubbles-like icons included, which I quickly put into kicker. Then did a few bubbles myself, then notice your great icon set, et voila! I switch the whole set for coherence sake, even if I do like a lot the connectiva set. - May 07 2002
