Could you tell me how to add the CPU temp to your theme, because you only say "it depends on your board" in your config file and that doesn't help. What are the arguments that I can add to "type" in the config file, in order for it to show my ACPI temp for the CPU?

to install you just put them in usr/share/icons/folder-of-the-icons-theme-you-are-using/

( substitute to folder-of-the-icons-theme-you-are-using the real name of the folder obviously).

For OSX icons http://kdelook.org/content/show.php?content=2242 and http://kdelook.org/content/show.php?content=2940

KXDocker with REAL Transparency

KXDocker by stefano 154 comments

I love your dock. I think it's the best effort to create an apple-like dock in KDE. The problem is that I have a dual screen desktop, using xinerama, and when I run your docker, it places itself in the middle of the two screens. I tried going in the configurator, under the window tab and clicking on the "left" option (in order to have it on the left main screen), but it's disabled for some reason. Is there a way that your dock supports xinerama, so that you can place it in the middle of your main scrren? Ksmoothdock does have tha feature and it works quite well, but as I said I like your dock most of all.

Thanks.

GTK-QT Mandrake 10.1 RPM

GTK1 Themes by ntesa 33 comments

Ok your rpm screwed up any gtk2 based app in my main user account. In root and other accounts everything works fine but in my main user account this rpm did something which was not reversed when I uninstalled it.

I first installed the rpm.

Restarted kde

Went to mdk control center and changed the preference of the gtk-qt engine to "resemble my kde theme" (or something to that effect)

Started the gimp2 and I saw that it didn't work.

I restarted kde but kde crashed.

I uninstalled your rpm package (from bash) and restarted kde.

This time kde started fine but all the gtk2 based apps don't work. I get just a white window. As I said this does not happen in other user accounts so evidently my setting change in the gtk-qt engine section of mdk-control center remained even though your rpm is uninstalled.

What (kde preference/setting or other) file does that preference setting (in the gtk-qt) affect and how do I revert it back to its normal value?

Please respond to this question it is important that I get back my configuration as it was.

I don't want to condemn the rpm, even though it did not work at all on my MDK 10 Official (with all the updates), but I strongly suggest that if you don't know what you are doing nor how to uninstall an rpm from a command line (which you might be forced to do after kde crashes) then you shouldn't install this rpm. All in all it's a good idea but it's not perfect yet. I'd wait a little longer beefore posting a mdk rpm.

These are really an excellent work of art. If you have the time and will to create a whole theme you whould submit it to MandrakeSoft or similar ppl for them to include them in their next OS release.

What did you use to make them?

Thanks for sharing. - Jun 14 2004

Modified liquid weather theme

Karamba & Superkaramba by Eltito 9 comments

Could you modify your really cool theme for the new version of karamba weather, the one that uses info from weather.com?

The regular skins provided with karamba weather aren't as cool as yours, plus yours gives a lot more info.

Thanks. - Jul 03 2003
KSmoothDock

Various Plasma 5 Improvements by dangvd 703 comments

I have compiled and installed this dock in Mandrake 9.1 and everything seemed ok until I ran $ksmoothdock and I received a KDE error:

Short Description
The application KSmoothDock (ksmoothdock) crashed and caused the signal 11 SIGSEGV.

What is it?
An application mostly received the signal SIGSEGV due to a bug in the application. The application was asked to save its documents.

Hope this helps, I'd really like to use this dock. - Jul 03 2003

Hi, I was wondering if you could indicate a place where one can find a list of rdfs available on the net, besides the ones you included in the text file. All those are mostly technical or alternative sites. What about New York Times or Washington post or USA today?

Thanks! - Jul 01 2003
Modified liquid weather theme

Karamba & Superkaramba by Eltito 9 comments

the website to which your python script connects to, to retrieve the weather info, does not exist anymore, or at least when running k_weather.py nothing comes up. There is a Konfabulator widget (for MAC OSX) that retrieves the same weather info: maybe you can use the site this widget uses, if you find out what it is. - Jun 28 2003

is there a possibility to have a KDE 3.1 version of this theme? I just upgraded to mandrake 9.1 and installed this theme but it didn't show up in the styles list.

It's a great theme so it would be great to have it.

I tried installing the source and that also gave me some errors due to old automake and autoconf. I installed the newest automake and autoconf and I still get this error when running make:
