KDE 4 Splashscreens by mascolo99 3 comments

Hi,

I do not understand, how the file has to be downloaded. I only come to a page that asks me to download a request ticket or something ... I will definitely not do stuff like that. :(

I like the splash screen though. :)

Hi,

I really like this style. :)

But my panel is blue. Do you have any idea why? - Mar 28 2010

Oh, an answer. :)
I thought you were inactive. Well, I know, I didn't try to email you directly, but ... anyway. I started porting already. Just a few hours of work, and it does not do anything incredible besides compiling. But if you are interested, I'll share the Git repository somewhere.

Since I thought you were inactive, I made some design decisions (no idea whether they are good or bad for a screen saver). Using KConfigXT is one of them; the others somehow evolved while trying to make it compile. I looked at other KDE screensavers so I probably drifted a bit off. That means there are some very ugly things there now, but I planned to fix these once I have the time.

So, contact me if you are interested.

Hi,

have you plans on porting this amazing screensaver to KDE 4?

Comix Cursors

Cursors by jlue 312 comments

Hi,

thanks for your advide.
But I am not using Compiz.
I use KDE 4.1 and the KWin they're shipping.

I just put
Xcursor.theme: ComixCursors-Orange-Small-Slim
to my ~/.Xdefaults file but it didn't help either.

I also grepped my home dir for "Regular". No result.

Comix Cursors

Cursors by jlue 312 comments

Hi,

great cursor collection!

Just one thing:
If I use the comix cursor in KDE 4.1 (not tested elsewhere) there is always the middle-sized bold yellow cursor when hovering the desktop, window decorations and such. Only over the window's content the right cursor (e.g. the little blue one) is shown.
Directly after switching the cursor, the right one is shown everywhere but after restarting KDE, the situation is as described above again.

Any hint what's going on here?
