Ubuntu is NOT the antiwindows.
Let's draw a comparison with christ-antichrist:
If there is no christ, then an antichrist can not exist. No anti without the original.
If there is not Windows, then Ubuntu can still exist, because it is not a contradictory program.
Ubuntu is an alternative to Windows, not the complete opposite. If it was, then you wouldn't use it.
Example:
Almost anyone writes programs for windows.
The opposite of that is: almost nobody writes programs for Ubuntu.
Since this is clearly not true, Ubuntu is not the Anti-Windows.

I get that, but in those cases it might be better not to be too rebellious.
Reason:
It might be better to recommend using alternative software. That way you are really making a difference.
If that fails, you can always use that wallpaper, but at least have something to show for it.

That's true, but even so, you can create some parts from scratch if the source is not accurate enough.

My apologies. I completely misread.
I think it's because they all use the same source which offers the incorrect colour.
Maybe people should really create a theme by hand, in stead of using source material from a faulty theme. - Dec 03 2009

If it isn't too much to ask (and I have been asking rather a lot lately), could you make a brown one?
If brown is included, this could be the perfect set for Gnome-Colors. They are visually pleasing, haven't got too many moving parts, so they aren't distracting, and they have no particular theme (which usually is a bad thing, but now it is a big plus!).
Thanks anyway. - Nov 15 2009

It has been mentioned before, but I really want to see Lock screen themes, because I feel they could really contribute to the feel of completeness you are going for.

If there are going to be more cursors with distro themes, could they keep that "space like" quality? As if they are weightless, as opposed to "jumpy".
Slow motion is the key word. It would make them more graceful.
Plus, a jumpy cursor always gets on my nerves. - Oct 24 2009

Well, Fedora would be a great start.
That way, Both big derivative distros are represented (Ubuntu->Debian-based, Fedora->Redhat-based)
Anything else (in my opinion) would be extra, though not unwelcome.
Thanks for even considering. Made my day :) - Oct 23 2009

I am looking forward to other distro based cursors (I hope you were planning something along those lines).

Sorry to rain on your parade, but I have never seen any software or hardware saying "better".
I think it is because the manufacturers know that Vista is not necessarily better.
It is however Higher in the list of software, since it is newer than XP. Same can be said of Windows 7.
The joke is good, but it is more propaganda based on fiction than anything else.

Better still (to make it simpler):
Keep the compressed file where it is, and then just uncompress it to the .themes folder.
That way you won't have any files in places you don't want them, and you don't have to move the compressed file back, and you don't have to remove it from the.themes folder either.
An example of how re-arranging tasks makes them more efficient.

No, I don't like it.
It's too derivative, down to the colours. The buttons are placed too low, and there is no video window (that I can see).
Apart from all that, it needs improvement on the whole idea.
Just kidding. The colour is not too bad. The rest should improve though.

I really love to see more Linux related wallpapers which don't make reference to other OSes in a bad way, or are woman-unfriendly, or just xxx-rated.
Free software operating systems are a great thing, and themed wallpapers should just give a good feeling, not kick down anything else, or even glorify things.
