Please, ignore the following suggestion as it already works like that.
Presets and Preview > Alphabetical sorting in their selection combo. - Apr 20 2011
Hi!
First of all I want to say how much I love your engine and all the customization it brings with it, and how much I appreciate your work and continued support. Thanks!
I have some suggestions to make that would enrich our options.

Presets and Preview
* Ability to rename and/or version the Presets.
* Alphabetical sorting in their selection combo.
* Realtime update of the gradients int the Preview Window. Very useful while having it detached during custom gradient adjustments for widgets other than buttons.

General
* "Hide shortcut underline until Alt is pressed":
1. Doesn't affect some applications (eg. Firefox, Google Earth, OpenOffice, Chromium).
2. Pressing Alt has no effect in KDE4 applications (eg. open a menu > press Alt = underline doesn't appear).

Rounding
* IMHO the amount of rounding (slightly, fully etc) should be configurable per individual widget type (not just enable/disable).

Opacity
* Setting for Tooltip opacity.

Menubars
* Draw menubar items like toolbar buttons (maybe while keeping their normal proportions) and make it possible to also have them "Raised and Joined".

Popup Menus
* Custom color for normal/selected/inactive text.

Custom Gradients
* Naming support because the generic "Custom gradient #" is confusing some times.
* Gradient preview (20 or more pixels wide would be ok I guess) next to their name in the selection dropdown and the "copy from" button dropdown. - Apr 20 2011
I fixed blur by resetting Kwin settings to their defaults. Not sure which specific option caused that problem but now everything gets blurred as expected.

Anyways thanks for your continued support and development of the best linux theming engine ever. - Nov 15 2010
Just a quick question: what is your theme called? I like it! - Nov 14 2010
Could it be Nvidia binary driver related?
Whet card/driver do you have? - Nov 13 2010
I just recompiled with 100000,100000 and even higher and while windows now open in the expected screen, they always open in the top left corner.

I double checked after restarting X and only opacity 100% will follow the right (smart) placement. - Nov 13 2010
I will try your suggestion if I get some free time.

In the meanwhile I would like to add that dialog opacity has the same effect on dialog placement (sounds like your explanation is right).

About the first bug it looks like popup blur is applied (I had to restart my X session first). - Nov 13 2010
1. Blur is not working here.
How to reproduce:
a. enable Blur effect in System Settings > Kwin effects
b. change QtCurve theme Window Opacity to anything < 100%
c. start a new application

Expected behavior:
- Transparent windows have their background blurred.

Observed behavior:
- Transparent windows don't use blur while other applications do (such as KMenu and Plasma).

------

2. When Opacity is enabled, windows open in second monitor (dual monitor setup with twin view). Disabling it (set to 100%) returns to expected behavior.
How to reproduce:
a. have a dual monitor setup (nvidia's twin view here) with new windows set to open in the screen containing the cursor so that everything works as expected
b. change QtCurve theme Window Opacity to anything < 100%
c. start a new application from a launcher (eg. KMenu) in first screen _without_ moving the mouse to second screen

Expected behavior:
- The new window opens in the first screen.

Observed behavior:
- The new window opens in the second screen.

Comments:
- It looks like QtCurve with transparent windows doesn't understand the dual monitor or it somehow interferes with Kwin window placement.
- Also, this happens even if I select Oxygen Kwin decorations.

------

My System:
* QtCurve 1.6.4
* KDE 4.5.3
* Qt 4.7.0
* Nvidia 260.19.12
* Kernel 2.6.36
* Kubuntu 10.10 - Nov 13 2010

Nice mod mate! I really like what you did here and to be honest I was thinking of a mod like that.

Just a couple of suggestions:
1. change the designer name in the skin files to yours (since it's your mod;) and
2. add a link to my theme in the description, please

Oh, and could you please upload a full size screenshot with a bright window underneath it (e.g. maximized web browser), because I carently don't have working transparency and would like to check it properly. - Jan 11 2011

Yes I have vsync enabled so this is not the cause. There seems to be something wrong with my system (kde version and nvidia driver related) because others don't see it in theirs.

Anyways since this problem is not directly related to your theme, I have reported it (as I should have done from the beginning) to the QtCurve maintainer. - Nov 14 2010

I can confirm that this is still the case under KDE 4.5 stable (Kubuntu 10.04).
Resizing the plasmoid (like x10) makes the bars normal again but everything else... of course not:)

Great plasmoid. I was looking for something like that.

Just a couple of suggestions:
1. Make the list use the theme's transparent background, optionally.
2. Add columns for total downloaded and uploaded data.

Thanks mate. Keep up the great work you are doing! - Jun 19 2010

Greek characters in text message count as 2 characters. I assume that's because of UTF8 used as text encoding. Could you change that?

Fantastic! I was wandering how hard would it be to make these changes on the default oxygen theme and now you made them a reality.

Have you contacted the oxygen team about it? I am rating it high and hopefully it might become the default in the future.

* Can you prompt the user for the theme destination instead of using ~/Desktop?
Desktop is not a good choice for saving files, something many people are used to. - Jul 01 2008
Some suggestions:
* Since this is an application you should move it to gnomefiles or some other application related site
* Please for the love of god and usability, change the autoswitching of show/hide checkboxes to the simple and standard behavior (ie don't change the text depending on whether it's enabled or not). Right now it's confusing. eg while "[x] Show Border" is straightforward, "[ ] Hide Border" is not.
* Could you add tooltips for each option?
* Also can you add support for opening/editing an existing theme?

Thanks! - Jul 01 2008

I've been using your theme for some months now and it looks like I'm keeping it for much more time. Great selection of icons and makes my desktop unique. - Feb 26 2008
Thanks for the nice theme.

I found a small annoyance. In kcontrol, when you set the icon size to anything other than small (View > Mode > Icon View), the Sound & Multimedia icon stays small while the rest of the icons get the right size. I noticed that even the Sound System (inside Sound & Multimedia) icon is ok, which is the same speaker icon. - Oct 19 2007

It's not working for me either. I tried purging it and reinstalling but it still doesn't work. I think the problem might not be kdmtheme manager related because I added the settings manually in kdmrc but the theme didn't work (I got the default non-theme prompt). Any ideas? - Nov 23 2007

Nice program. Is it still under development?

Feature request:
Better integration with checkinstall. Add a configuration dialog providing settings such as name, maintainer, version, description etc.

If you implement the above you can (optionally) try to get some of the info from the distribution, if that program already exists in a repository.
e.g. you can parse the output of "apt-cache show PACKAGENAME" and get the description and the dependencies. - May 08 2007

I have a small bug though. In my Kubuntu installation the two options (Settings and Menu) are missplaced above the K logo.

Please consider adding the following options:

* Set scrollbar arrow style (kde, windows etc)
* Customisable pop-up menu gradient
* Show/hide icons in menus
* Optional, less offensive frame borders
* Decorator - grouped buttons like the ones in toolbars
* Decorator - customisable button shape
* Decorator - customisable button gradient
* Decorator - show/hide application icon
* Decorator - show/hide buttons on inactive windows
* Decorator - customisable title alignment

Bug: When I use the Domino decoration with Beryl+Aquamarine the decorations disappear on maximised windows. Could be Beryl's fault though:)

Thanks for your great style - Feb 25 2007
