"fixed"
i added:
elif(contact_status[buddies[icon]["name"]] == "(Abwesend)"):
imagepath = "images/buddy"+numtrans[icon]+".png"
buddies[icon]["status"] = "(Online)"

pretty kludgy, though.. maybe we use a png like "X" for offline, and "/" for not available? well, its kludgy, yeah, but a compromise for now .

ah, we also could but "abwesend", "away", or whatever this is in a special language in a variable, just at the top of the python script. so everyone would be able to simply put his away status there? - Jun 29 2005
LiquidKopeteBar

Karamba & Superkaramba by s3m10s 15 comments

yeah, lists:
(Abwesend)

ok, will check with the source, thanks for the hints. hmm.. i will post my modification if i get it fixed, though.. it will help out germans only, i am afraid. all others will have to change this with their very own language.

maybe there is a more global way to fix this? - Jun 29 2005
LiquidKopeteBar

Karamba & Superkaramba by s3m10s 15 comments

on/offline status is detected fine. however, if a user is "away", it shows an "unknown state" icon ??

could this be related to i18n? i'm from germany, and kopete does not list "Away" but "Abwesend".
if this actually is causing my problem, a quick fix would be highly appreciated. i am able to modify the source myself, but have no clue yet where to look ;) - Jun 29 2005

well, thats great, really! but.. i seem to run into trouble with temporary filenames, variables, or whatever (dunno - just guessing)?

i have this DWD jpg running, and 2 webcams . yes, i renamed the themes and .py, so they are called different in the .superkaramba directory.
e.g.
webcam1.theme
webcam1.py
webcam2.theme
webcam2.py

though, only the last theme called is updated. could this be infact of all of them use "img" and "img1"? well, just guessing.. ;)
how would i fix this?
a small hack for the source would be sufficient to me. maybe using wcam and wcam1 ins tead of img and img1? or is the problem somewhere else? - Jun 14 2005

xcuse me doode, but again i feel totally lost!

your download link leeds me to yours homepage, nothing wrong with that, though..
whats the exact link to download your latest release?
mind adding a direct link? your homepage does not note a version number or whatever infact of the download page :-(

also there is a link to translations, and there are always links to translations in kde-look as well - pretty confusing.

couldnt we all agree, that the translators simply send you the update, and you include this if your very spare time permits?
likewise to the backgrounds.. (thx again for including kubicaramba (aka dark crystal)) - May 11 2005

GREAT! got PyKDE compiled, finally.
see:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-2348214.html#2348214

(specially fellows using gentoo might have a look at the link posted above!)

btw.. i compiled it after i emerged python 2.4.x.. there was nothing to move, worked outta the box. the libs are fine.

OTOH.. i dislike *all* of the button sets.. they dont fit to my style (kubicaramba). could you add a "yourstyle" apart from all the others?
that would be gr8t! thx..
well, otherwise you keep on adding backgrounds and buttonstyles all and all along, i fear ;) - Apr 25 2005

thumbs up, this is great! i was just going to take it into my theme found here:
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=20847

but i have a few problems.. maybe you could help me out?
i am using 1600x1200, and the font is much to small. hmm.. i am not a python freak , how do i change the fontsize? also i would like to resice this, maybe 500x300.. otherwise its really hard to read here.

OTOH, keep it up! nice that you sorted it (online, mobil, security) - nice idea, really! - Mar 02 2005

Karamba & Superkaramba by ogetbilo 289 comments

yes, i controlled from amaroK itself inbetween. that might have caused the divided by zero, OK.

well, about CPU load.. in your theme you use an intervall of 1000. if you raise this to, lets say, 3000 it is fine. unfortunately the "time" display looks little funny then.. thats why i thought a function to disable it completly would be nice ;) - Feb 23 2005
SoundMania

Karamba & Superkaramba by ogetbilo 289 comments

hmm.. still takes ~5% CPU.
i thought, if i uncheck "show remaining time" the display would not happen at all, but instead of this it shows the amount of time played then .. is this intended? it would be nice if this could be disabled completly? not calculating the time at all would IMHO save CPU?
ps: progressbar is disabled already.. - Feb 22 2005

could some options be disabled? otherwise i am going to do this in the source myself. no need here to read the kbps, and no need for the progressbar and time left.
this hogs up the CPU constantly, and can get pretty annoying if one is using plenty karamba applets.

it would be nice if this would be optional, thx! - Feb 18 2005

there would be space left on the left side in the applet for a volume slider (vertically)
