Oxygen KDE (Firefox Theme)

On Firefox 10 the "extension" seems to work and I can open the Oxygen KDE Options window. But the "appearance" part is incompatible and disabled. - Jan 31 2012
You can use
ksystraycmd --startonshow --keeprunning ...
to make the Close button iconify the program.

However, I have to specify the icon for the program, or ksystray will display an "empty sheet" icon in the tray when the window is not shown, e.g.
ksystraycmd --icon /opt/kde/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/kcalc.svgz --startonshow --keeprunning kcalc

Also, with ksystraycmd, it takes very long for the program to reopen if I have it hidden for a while. That doesn't happen with KDE applications with native systray icons. I haven't been able to test whether alltray improves this, because it just crashes with Segmentation Fault...maybe I could try to troubleshoot it later.

If alltray could merge the advantages of ksystraycmd and improve it, that would be great. - Sep 27 2006

KDE 3.5 Themes by mart 395 comments

Hello, in the windec buttons configuration, the Shade, Keep Above Others, Keep Below Others, and Resize buttons are disabled. However, I can put the Keep Above Others button into the title bar and it works, but putting the other disabled buttons into the title bar in configuration doesn't make them show in window title bars. But I noticed that for windows which don't have a Maximize button, the Shade button will take its place. Is this intentional, and are the missing buttons yet to be implemented, or is it only happening on my computer? - Jul 20 2006
Konqueror "natural" file sorting (idea)

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by lenooh 19 comments

It's possible to implement by treating every numeral sequence as one "token", and sort these numerically. For example, "bk12vol20" would be broken into 'b' 'k' '12' 'v' 'o' 'l' '20', and would come before "bk3v33" as 'b' 'k' '3' 'v' 'o' 'l' '33'.

But I'm not sure if this has general enough use to be implemented. After all, "numbered" file names are only a minority, and among those, not all of them are supposed to be sorted. Also, many people already name files with padded zeroes so that they will be sorted correctly without special treatment. - Jun 11 2006
